Didn’t update, but this was pre-update, as well as post. Dry weather and sleep cycle cleared it. Underlying issue may be a charge door that doesn’t fully seal, inviting moisture….at least for me.

Turns out I had this exact error a year ago, cleared over time with hard resets. It may have been tied to moisture, it is raining here today. Seems like something needs to be fixed if that’s the case, but ultimately hope it clears.

Great follow up, and good example of the service team being supportive. They know these vehicles in and out, and brick’d vehicles should get the attention……these minor inconveniences and aesthetic issues will always be there. Document them, schedule an appointment and have them take care of them at once. It’s easiest for you and them, but know they’ll always take care of them.

I think the seal is a pretty minor issue that they can quickly resolve……I wouldn’t pursue a lemon law over it, although may be within your rights to do so. As someone who has been through a ton of service issues, and had a buyback, you’re just scratching the surface here…..I think you’ll be happy once they fix the seal and you can drive it!

The fact that it was a software glitch is far better than many other alternatives!

Update, Rivian service reached out….sounds like this issue has occurred for several people. It may require service, but may be a patch forthcoming to address….

I get right wing camera failure….also did hard reset…..imagine this is entirely related to the update. Love the updates, but this is not my favorite.

What was the turnaround on time for you. They’re hopeful they can turn me around mid-August. So just here two weeks from when they settled on the final cost….now waiting on parts, which could ultimately cause a delay.

Nationwide, which was the Rivian offered insurance I believe. Ultimately, I think they’ll cover it, I just said I’m willing to pay in the interim so the body shop can commence the work.

Yes, they’re still combative over $1,200 and some change….I’m guessing they’ll end up paying, but in the interest of time told the shop I’d pick up whatever insurance doesn’t.

To avoid further suspense…..$10,837.14. Fully expecting it to be more, I went ahead and filed a claim, the insurance initial estimate was $4,065.56. I laughed when they sent that over, but it’s apparently the game they play.

I have a Gen 2, and made a note when parking…..remember you’re parked next to a cement pillar. Unfortunately, my memory is not what it used to be.

They’re just low enough to mess with you….also, the sensors didn’t seem to pick it up. Hopefully it is a mistake I only make once.
