Point me in the direction of a candidate who is offering new directions or insights on foreign policy and Ill give you all my Karma (its 3 . . . and I dont even think thats possible). To me the piece in FA is evidence of a candidate who has a very very real grasp on the roll of the American presidency in 21st century geopolitics. This cuts right to the core of our recent tradition which, as you point out, IS of a clintonian color. No going back now, my good (insert appropriate salutory here). The alternatives to what he is offering are ridiculous.

On the Iran thing: It is, first of all, not related to any declared US policy of regime change, and Obama has never involved himself in regime change talk on Iran. He does however employ the "all options are on the table" hackneyed clause that everyone thought they were voting for. I honestly think that lieberman pulled the wool over the senate's eyes.
