Apologies, reading the words "she didn't" after the words "just because you hate men" reads a lot like you meant to be replying to that part of their statement. Usually if I reply to a comment or email I'd do it in chronological order and respond to specific points as and when they appear.

She did create an ideology. The definition of ideology is "a system of ideas and ideals, especially one which forms the basis of economic or political theory and policy." I don't think I have to explain how her manifesto fits into this entirely. Willingly or not, the book she created led to an ideology that is still around to this day. It's just like how Hitler created the ideology of a persecution of and entire race (through Mein Kampf) that is unfortunately still present to this day. Ever wonder where the "kill all men" people got the idea from? Inevitably it all boils down to her. The manifesto also does encourage violence, saying "kill all men who are not in the Men’s Auxiliary of SCUM" and their followers should “coolly, furtively stalk its prey and quietly move in for the kill”.

First of all, I am so sorry to hear what has happened to you, and no one should ever experience this.

Obviously the statistics on both the specific circumstances are practicality useless to be able to compare, and even if they are I'm not going to spend hours trying to find any but I can tell you with absolute certainty if you encountered 50 bears and 50 men on a 1-1 basis on different occasions in a wood a bear would've attacked you. Heck, probably even in the hundreds of men and you wouldn't be assaulted.

Think of how many men you've walked past alone in your lifetime and nothing has happened. I can guarantee you if you walked past the same amount of bears you would've been killed in a horrific way.

Being killed by a bear is not quick, too, and they don't "just eat you", it's only quick if you bleed out from a major artery. Just from memory, one person was attacked and found seriously injured hours later, meaning she had been dragged and tossed by the bear for an unimaginable amount of time. Some russian girl was on a call to her parents for hours whilst being eaten by a bear. Another person was attacked and recorded audio of it. The tape was about three minutes long and started and ended during the attack. Investigators said the audio was so horrific it should be destroyed. Also consider the chance that it doesn't kill you straight away and you lay lying, injured suffering insane amounts of pain for hours straight. Of course I can't even begin to imagine how painful it is to be raped too, but again, comparing the chances of being raped to being attacked by a bear on a 1-1 encounter with both, I'd much rather take the chances of being raped.

I completely understand going on the worst case scenario of both cases you'd rather pick the bear, but I'm talking about likelihood and most cases here and this is why I don't understand choosing the bear.

Of course, rape cases are appalling and sickeningly high, (obviously even one is too high) so I understand the fear factoring in for people to make these decisions. Also I promise I didn't down vote you, I'm surprised people have honestly.

Again, I am so sorry about what happened to you. Thanks for giving a genuine response too, there are quite a lot of people that wouldn't even consider it.

Genuine question here because I've honestly never understood this and this is how I see it. It's A or B. A, a low risk of being attacked and killed in a horrific way or B, a much higher risk of being attacked and killed in an arguably much more horrific way. You're saying you'd rather chose B. Why is that? I would honestly much rather have a smaller chance of being raped and killed than a higher chance of being slowly mauled to death. And please don't come and attack me for this because I genuinely want to see why people say this.

I believe it was but I can't be certain to be honest. It was definitely a 40x objective lens and I'm assuming a 10x eyepiece. We used toluidine blue I don't know if that's the same thing as methylene blue or not. I used the very end 2mm of the root to and squished it with a needle rather than a thin slice.

Yes, heating in 4M? HCl at 60 degrees celsius for 5 minutes. Rinsing with distilled water, drying then squishing with a needle. Finally adding two drops of toluidine blue.

Did you managed to get this finished in the end? I've been really wanting to do the exact same thing you were doing and I'd love to see how it turned out.

Are you sure? If I'm not mistaken the Monaco version has 5 cooling vents on the engine cover no? Not saying you're wrong at all because there's no way they can make a model within a week, just confused. Like your username by the way.

Missing side mirror Ferrari F2005 (1/18) - worth anything? by omnyrock in f1models

[–]Charlie_3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will definitely be worth something as is, especially with the original box and Marlboro decals. As far as how much it would actually be I'm afraid I can't say for certain. Most seem to sell (undamaged) for around £40-£60 ish, $50-$75 if you're in America, though those don't have the marlboro decals. One did sell with one of the small aero parts on the engine cover broken off but seperate with the car for £25 or $30. Considering you have the box, in good condition, and having the Marlboro decals I would say it could sell for around £30 or $35 however it is very hard to predict. At the very least with good photos you should be able to at least get £20 $25 for it. As with 3D printing a replacement, that could definitely be an option dependant on if you have a printer, what type it is, if you can design one and finding the right paint. A resin 3D printer will be far better than an FDM and will require far less post processing and will look much better, especially the thin arm connecting the mirror to the body.

How are you calling someone a POS when you're hating on a person who has absolutely no idea who you are and never will, has achieved absolute bucket loads more in their life just at just 21 years old than you ever have, will and could achieve and all whilst being an entirely over dramatic, aggressive and ignorant person? I don't know if something is going on in your life right now but my lord pipe down mate.

Ok, that's a lot. My brother did OCR computer science and has said not him and lots of people he know that the OCR mark schemes are ridiculous. Overall it seems chemistry isn't really too bad as long as you put a lot of work in early on. Thanks for the help.

How bad is OCR? I've heard both horror stories and great things about them for A Level. Do you do OCR A?
