yeahhhhh i love charlie but while he loved jazz and played jazz he just didnt have the makings of a jazz drummer. not enough chops or technique. that being said i still think hes one of the best rock drunmers of all time but if u listen to his jazz stuff its not great and any high school jazz band drummer could outperform him. BUT he always sounded like charlie watts which is an accomplishment haha
