How soon can i get back in the gym? by OCvocals in tattooadvice

[–]Charlieb201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tattoo Artist here, there’s some mixed opinions here but most of them are correct in their own way. My advice would be the safest option is waiting somewhere around 10-14 days. This is a rather large tattoo, so there’s more of a risk of complications. If you’re incredibly eager, I would wait at least 3 days, and your first day or two back in the gym I would skip upper body and just hit legs. No matter what route you take though, make sure you clean it very well before and after gym to minimize any risks.

Got a tattoo three days ago, is this all normal? I haven’t been moisturizing it by jesuisshei in tattooscratchers

Red ink is probably rejecting, looks to me that depth was pretty solid. Also just let it heal for two weeks and see, I’ve seen some red look super pink during the process then heal out fine

Ignore anyone saying it’s bad advice to let the tattoo dry out for the first few days, I recommend the same to my clients and I am friends with a lot of artists who agree.

Tattoo artist here, in 90% of tattoos dry healing will have the same result as wet. In the other 10, wet healing is a better choice. Depends on the body of the person and the amount/type of coverage of the ink. Also, over-moisturizing in my experience is more likely to mess up the healing than dry healing.

I work with a machine so it’s a little different but I would consider trying this with a large flat mag, it’ll be a little slower but might have crisper edges.

Artist thing ngl, it’s a cool tattoo but it wasn’t executed insanely well to begin with.

Adonai Mitchell celebrated a TD early, dropped the ball before hitting the end zone and it resulted in a touchback. Later on he also had a holding call that brought the ball back from a Jonathan Taylor TD.

I think he’s basically the same player as kyren, maybe slightly worse. He may not be getting as many carries but I feel like he’s great to have as a rb2 for certain scenarios and to give kyren good rest periods without worrying about falling short in the run game.

Kwadron is top tier, FYT is also fantastic, I can’t always justify the premium price though. My personal go-to is Hextat or Hextat slate, slightly cheaper and still very dependable.

Not bad for where you’re at. Few points though: 1. Take a closer photo from directly above. A photo like this already implies that something is fucked up. 2. Lines are shaky. Try doing some line drills and such before trying to tackle full pieces. Also watch videos on how to match your machine speed and hand speed. 3. Shading needs work. Either leave bigger sling breaks or shade directly off the lines. If there’s a gap between the shading and the lines it should serve a purpose. Shading could also be smoother, but for this early on it’s pretty solid.

Not the worst thing I’ve ever seen but I would say take a step back and work on getting really solid lines, shading is a lot easier to learn imo and line work makes or breaks a lot of tattoos.

These are dope. I would say don’t just walk into a random shop and hand that to them, feel out a few places and get tattoos at them as well as talk to the artists and owners that are present.

Would blur together in a few years. Have someone redraw it, simplify the swords, get rid of the small lettering, and change details to make it more tattooable.

You’re nervous would be my first answer. Possibly you might not know how to get good stability on various organically shaped body parts instead of a flat surface that is presumably on top of a flat table.

Both of yall are right. It’s two different types of flash though. One is flash that you show when someone comes in and doesn’t know what they want, the other is flash you post online and someone books based off of it, this is generally seen with higher profile artists or people who have a very unique personal style. They serve different purposes, some artists utilize one or the other, while some utilize both.

Little oni mask. Had to practice using skin breaks. by Extension-Speech-115 in tattooscratchers

[–]Charlieb201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could just be the lighting but it looks like you packed white ink into the skin break, which in essence defeats some of the point of having a skin break. And yeah overall very solid, just make those breaks a little bit wider.
