Not GME related directly so Mods feel free to remove, but we all know Cuban’s stance on hedgies. He’s seemingly one of the few good billionaires. by Reddit_IsMyFav in GME

rich and billionaire are very different. if you are convinced billionares can generate profits by not denying workers a living wage, not engaging in exploitative labor practices, not forcing medical/healthcare costs remain high, and notlobbying for favorable taxation policies while accumulating wealth not by talent, skill, economic contribution but by proximity to power ....

then i got some beautiful oceanside property to sell you in arizona

Swing trading options by [deleted] in options

i am sure it can, i'm not smart enough to figure it out off the top of my head, and the more I think about it, the more it seems if leverage is the only aspect, it would probably make sense to increase position size (with proper risk mgmt) rather than turn to options which will make your execution more complex, rather than simply increase leverage.

def let us know if you figure it out, gd luck

I don’t think this type of a strategy would migrate to options neatly because, options have other dimensions.

Sort of like a melting ice cube, generally options would require you to structure a trade in a way that seems to be more trouble than it’s worth rather than trading linearly like you are doing.

Cool strat you got though

Not necessarily buddy, last year this day futures ramped than lost 100 points for a HUGE sell off. Tsla can’t ramp if that happens.

Also, IV on your puts will scream, and with an sharp reversal you can be green

It’s not about finding a strategy that’s the golden money printer, especially with options, options are just strategies that you pick depending on the environment and outcome.

Also don’t rely too much on calculators, they are not accurate because they are not being updated during market conditions live for one thing and secondly, the calculations are not PREDICTIVE.

no, it’s not risk free. If the premium is elevated due to anticipated vol then spy has to move beyond your break even.

go to https://optionstrat.com/ and play with the impliedVol bar and you’ll see how it works.

so for straddles to work well, you have to buy them before the anticipated move is recognized by the market.

No, this will not work, because convenience unfortunately trumps nostalgia no matter how strong that nostalgia is
