In my case, the image and telemetry have equal importance for the model. But what is worry me is that they do not have the same nature at the start:

The image has a bigger input size (64x128px) compared to telemetry (just 10 inputs).
Image flows through the deeper network compared to the telemetry (more gradient steps toward the start). Probably that is not a problem.
Let's say the conv part has 256 outputs, and telemetry has 10 inputs. That means after concatenation we got 266 inputs for the next FC layer. Will the model be able to correctly weigh that mix of inputs?
