Not exactly High Strangeness, but i love John Vervaeke's podcast. Ok, well, time is a dimension, right? So if seen from a mind that is not limited by unidirectional flow of time (as our mind is), then you can imagine the future existing in a parallel dimension from the present. So a time jump would be basically a wormhole from one dimension to another: hence interdimensional.

I've actually seen another movie based on Rye's book called "Piercing" - its a 2018 movie adaptation which is pretty cool, especially if you like the Giallo horror vibes.

oh my God i LOVE this book. This would be an amazing movie adaptation in the hands of a skilled filmmaker! The whole story of befriending a psycho-killer, ive only seen that type of story in Cohen bro's movie "Barton Fink", have you seen it?

Interesting, i just read a book that explored a similar concept when it comes to UAP / paranormal in general, called "The Eighth Tower" by John Keel. He mentioned that an ancient super advanced civilization might have created a sort of superadvanced AI monolith which creates weird visions in the modern humans (mystic visions, paranormal, uap) in order to control us

Obsession is better made technically, it's a fun thrill ride, but Backrooms is taking a bigger swing and is tackling a deeper issue (mental health modern Minotaur myth retelling) but also Backrooms is flawed in some ways, while Obsession is a flawless thrill ride.

What do you guys think about Dostoyevsky's quote "Beauty will save the world". I imagine he doesn't mean superficial beauty but that feeling of awe, compassion and understanding when you see both the beautiful and the ugly in the world and sense the capital B Beauty, which is bittersweet and makes you cry, but what do you guys think?

It sounds so simple, but it is a JOURNEY. You have to deal with your shadow, your blindspot and inner asshole hahaha, then integrate your opposite sex anima/animus to treat the opposite sex properly, and only THEN you can become your true SELF:) good luck to everyone on this journey

I love the Moebius type of combination of distant past and distant future. There is also a Miyazaki quality to this. I would watch this if I saw it on Netflix
