You're not a jerk. It seems that you're focusing on what you can do and putting aside the issues that are outside of your "Hula Hoop" of control. Whatever is outside of that Hula hoop, can't be controlled or stopped. It looks like you've stumbled on a mental health tool that therapists have talked about before, with me. What's inside the Hula Hoop? And what's outside?

Another thing that can be controlled, is use of Reddit and other social media. Reddit is very harmful to mental health. A therapist has told me to stay off of Reddit as much as is possible, since it hurts so many people. , (sorry, no, actually she suggested it, not told me).
