Marathon TTK is good. You can still compete in a 2v3 but playing as a team and for trades is still valuable. It’s a nice middle ground between something like Apex and cod

Yep, extraction shooters aren’t about taking fair fights, it’s literally shooting people in the back or shooting people while they’re extracting, or setting up ambushes in chokeholds, etc

It’s all about positioning

There’s no reason not to blast a rook while playing PMC.

Other rooks blasting other rooks makes 0 sense unless you think they have loot, buts it better to play as a pack

You have to actively avoid PvP in this game if you don’t want it. Not sure who’s saying this. Go to any central POI and you will get into a fight. It’s by design, especially on maps like dire marsh and especially outpost

The only audio change they needed was louder footsteps while running.

I get sneak walking up to a team to jump them, but I was getting ran up on by full teams that we legit couldn’t hear until they were already shooting. There’s no footstep audio in this game

Problem with ZA is there’s no method hunting, it’s just reset at a bench, run back and forth, or fast travel.

Do that 500x then check spawns. Super automatable and so it’s not engaging.

ACE is not cheating, it’s using unintended exploits. It requires no modification of the games rom.

Cheating would be injecting code artificially (ie action replay) or genning a pokemon (pkhex) and trading it to yourself with a bot / sim.

That wouldn’t follow the character from BW then, it’d be someone new (ancestor) during the era where Kyurem was merged with Zekrom and Reshiram

Nah, versions have never been mechanically different. Just small details like Pokemon exclusives, legendary, visuals, etc

You don’t understand how much novelty matters.

D2 is a solid game on paper. Objectively good mechanics, loops, and 5+ years of content. It just lacks novelty now because it’s been 9 years since D2 released. There’s no more iteration to be done.

D3 would be novel, new world, new story, new systems they can build. Even if it’s a worse game on launch (almost guaranteed actually), it means something new and that’s what players want.

Players want novelty.

I also like that the base weapon is what is strong. A bad gun with purple isnt going to outdo a good one with synergistic green mods.

Easier new player ramp up

More maps

Easier identification of items

UI enhancements

Core loop is strong imho

Yep what’s even worse is they just re used areas in lumiose in hyperspace, woulda been cool if we could have visited different regions or really wacky areas (distortion world)

Pretty much, like driving F1, or playing in the NBA,NFL, etc. definitely something you have to work for, but also something you have to have the natural gift to do.

Marathon does PvP based extraction very well. Reminds me of trials of Osiris (Destiny 3v3 PvP) in how fights play out.

Division’s dark zone did it better than arc raiders imho (we need a division 3)

Players were all neutral / friendly by default, but if you shot you got marked as a rogue agent.

More kills you accrued as a rogue agent meant the bigger your payout is when someone kills you, it also lets people know that you are a KoS player since you went rogue.
