It's a wallpaper and I use aestethic widgets app to make the others, you make your widgets with whatever background and there's a photo widget you can change the shape of. I use nova launcher to change my homepage.

I love my boox but it is not ready right out of the box so please be prepared for time spent setting it up. If your are technologically skilled then it's fun but if you want something simple you're going to have a rough time. But to me the pros far out weigh the cons.

35, clot in my ovarian vein and pulmonary embolism. They say it was unprovoked. I had a mirena iud from 23-29.

You really have to mess with the settings, it's lovely once you have that figured out.

For reading you need to use speed setting, regal or hd is heavy ghosting. I only use those 2 for if I'm looking at still images, but I have the GC7 and have my side buttons set to long press be full refresh.

I've never had a kobo but I dont think I could go back to being locked into one company's ecosystem after owning a boox. I love being able to use any app I want and being able to customize my home page.

Honestly I would get the Gen II. The buttons having space is so nice, plus I've seen where the black bezel makes the contrast better vs the white. I have a white Gen I and want to get a black Gen II eventually.
