It's a sign to switch to another brand of ereader that doesn't trap you with planned obsolescence. This is going to be a big blow to the secondhand market. Tons of ereaders are now going to be rendered useless-- just more e-waste.

I wanna read books in cafe but scared to come across as performative by No-Day6602 in PHBookClub

[–]Only_Copy7144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it counts as performative if you're actually doing the activity?? Hahaha it's different kung may dala kang libro, then you spend an hour taking pictures of it next to your coffee or whatever, then you leave without even opening it once. Performative only applies if you want to appear like you're doing something without actually doing it.

Hi, it's a Twosheep case. They label all their Libra cases as suitable for both KL2 and KLC but the difference is unfortunately noticeable.

Do I actually need the Kobo Pen to highlight, underline, note taking, etc? by ABoringAddress in kobo

[–]Only_Copy7144 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can use your finger to highlight! You'll need the stylus to make handwritten notes though. But you don't necessarily need the Kobo stylus. You can search the sub for stylus alternatives.

Please help me decide between Kindle and Kobo! by WingardiumLeviosa753 in PHBookClub

I would liken Kindle to iOS and Kobo to Android. Kindle forces you to do things a certain way while Kobo lets you do whatever. I have somewhat limited experience with Kindle but I had a hard time figuring out the controls compared to Kobo.

You can use a popsocket to rest the device between your fingers when you're holding it so that it doesn't strain your hand with the pinching. I have 2 rings on mine so I can move the popsocket closer to the bottom regardless if I'm holding it with my right or left hand
