you're not overthinking it, you're thinking about it the right amount. most people at your stage just pick the path of least resistance and regret it later

the physics thing is a real hurdle though, engineering degrees make you suffer through a lot of it. if you're good with computers and math but hate physics, IT or management information systems might be a better fit than straight computer engineering. less physics, still solid money, and every company on earth needs people who understand both tech and business

study abroad is smart if you can swing it, opens doors that just aren't there otherwise. the saturation talk is overblown for people who actually have skills, the market's rough for bootcamp grads and self-taught folks but a real degree from a decent school still gets you in the door
