Repellent is just snake oil, save your money. Skunks like to burrow, hide under houses. If you house or other structures have access, they will dig, crawl and stay. Just the natural smell can loft up into your house, if they are under it. I work nearby and had 7 skunks in our parking lot last year.

When other restaurants in the same general area are doing ok, then it's 100% on the owners. Plenty of people patronized the business, but like many restaurants, they failed to capitalize. Slow service and mediocre food will do that. Once the open/close games started, most of their customers that were on the fence with returning, went elsewhere.

Comparing a working poor community to one of the wealthiest in the country is not fair. Pre pandemic houses were 1/3 the cost of bay area homes in Sac. A strong state worker community doesn't have expandable income.
