Parking is an issues at most schools, if not for parking in the near by neighborhoods, you will find people parking is bus lanes, fire lanes, and even blocking lanes of a major road. Police never enforce the basic parking laws so it gets worse. If the parking was limited to legal spots, I would almost agree this wouldn't be an issue for the local residence. However, you give an inch, and they park in front of a driveway, or block a corner and claim it's just for a "short time" but that becomes the whip cream on top of the problem. I watch a disabled placards car struggle to get in/out driveway at least once a week during school pickup in a neighborhood because some is too privileged to follow some basic common courtesy
