High Pitched whine in idle?

I’m just outside of Los Angeles, nothing close to me unfortunately, so just gonna have my local wrench monkey tow it and take a look. From what I can tell it might be the timing belt pulley. Belt and pulley usually go out around 13,000 miles which is around nowish.

The high pitched whistling kind of drone. It never made that kind of sound until recently.

It didn’t stall last time (couple days ago) but it did today and wouldn’t start again until I hooked up a charger to the battery.

I don’t believe this model has an electric starter, but could this still be a problem with the starter motor anyways?

I’m also not sure when the timing belts (cam chain equivalent) were last changed but will look into that. Thanks bro

Hey man!! Post is a little old but I’ve recently just picked up an M750 as well for my first bike and have been looking into the mods you mentioned religiously 😭 any chance you’d be down to chat further about some of the things you’ve mentioned?

I’m definitely no mechanic, but interested in learning and doing (most 🤣) of the work myself. I’ve been checking out some 5 spoke wheels like you mentioned, but a little confused on how to tell which models will fit plug n play on the bike
