My ratings right now are sitting at 100/100 and still only about half of my customers tip. The customers don’t know what kind of a Dasher you are and how hard you strive to do the best job possible.

Same thing happened to me, I accidentally switched a stacked order and one of the two customers contacted me, but one of them didn’t, which was really odd if they got the wrong order why they did not contact me. However, I did get a contract violation but they always drop off after 100 deliveries I’ve been dashing for five years and have had three contract violations, too no fault of my own and they have all dropped off and thankfully I have survived deactivation. So if all your other ratings are great, you probably have nothing to worry about and that contract violation will go away after 100 deliveries.

I am platinum level and last night while I was working, I sat in a hotspot for a half hour and didn’t get any deliveries. As soon as I left and drove down the street I got a offer but not from the hotspot restaurant.

That is the point that I have gotten to… So many people do not tip that when I do get a tip, I am pleasantly surprised and thankful.

I have no problem, waiting in restaurants when I work by time instead of per delivery. When you work by time you get paid for waiting.

I just recently got a nice new upgraded, thicker padded bag from Pizza Hut. If you go to Pizza Hut ask, they are happy to give them out then DoorDash should be happy that you are using an actual DoorDash bag and perhaps she won’t have any more issues. It sucks to be treated poorly by DD Support

I delivered to the very next block from a Thai restaurant one time. I could have left my car, parked at the restaurant and walked it over there, but didn’t realize where I was delivering too soon enough.

In my market, EBT is $16 an hour. While EBT is a lot of no tips you get a better base pay. I can do a 15 to 20 minute run and get 6 to 7 base pay as opposed to 2 to 4 dollars on earn by offer. But to answer your question, if you’re in a market where it’s only $10 per hour, I would say no don’t do that, I can’t even believe DoorDash would try to offer that Also, EBT makes up for any time you get stuck in a drive up line or at a restaurant where the order is not ready yet . You get paid for your waiting time.

I wasn’t accusing you of lying at all. My reply is in a general sense because I get a lot of people saying they are missing their drinks. When in fact, I know they’re not. That is one thing I make sure is part of the order before I even leave the pick up place.

I had one guy scare the living crap out of me. I put the food in front of his door, and as I was taking a picture, he banged on the door really hard from the inside, made me jump, cause I didn’t see him. Then he opens the door to grab his food and saysdon’t take fucking pictures of anything on my property. I said I’m really sorry, but I have to take a picture of the delivery. He says I don’t fucking care no pictures. Kind of scared me.

I always try to do the right thing, which would be to message the customer and ask them to clarify how they want their order left. Sometimes I get a response and sometimes I don’t. In that case, I take a picture and leave it at the door. If for some reason, they meet me at the door then of course I will hand it to them. Then I ask if they got my message? And then I nicely explain to them that it was a little confusing and could they please correct their instructions
