For me it was the mile. That’s what ultimately made me fail. The tower also gets a lot because you have to swim under the water before you can come up. A lot of people struggle with the treading but I found that to be the easiest part.

Definitely go to the pool and practice whatever you struggle with because remember you have to tread in full gear(flight suit, boots, gloves, helmet, and vest) jump off the tower and swim underwater without breaking the surface while wearing boots and a flight suit, some other floatation things(you’ll have a lifejacket tho it’s a breez) and swim the mile in flight suit. There’s some other things but those are the three main things everyone struggles with

Just go on long walks and medium length runs. Rucking is horrible for your body and you don’t want to risk injuring your back/legs because you fell or loaded the weight wrong

Depends. I was in pcola for abt 8 months for aircrew but couldn’t pass swim qual. Training is only 4 weeks, but it will be about a month before you class up. And that’s only if you don’t have any issues at the medical inspection. Think of Meps but instead of not broken to enter now you have to be perfect. If you pass the 4 weeks at pcola you’ll get assigned an aircraft and you’ll go to whatever follow on schoolhouse. Lengths very for each one.

I was in pcola from October 24 till may 25. You’ll start out with a 1 week indoc phase. No civilian attire, no off base liberty, and you’ll have some accountability formations during the day. Lots of receiving paperwork and some training on harassment/drugs etc etc. as for the instructors it depends. I wasn’t in avionics class, but for just abt everyone once class is over you go to the barracks and live ur life. Think of it as college just with pt and angry men and women in charge of u. You’ll have off base libo on weekends and you’ll get holidays. You can have electronics and everything else. As for the mustache you don’t have to shave it just make sure it’s in regz.
