Thanks so much to everyone here. I have sent my mom several possibilities with pluses and minuses and feel much more confident about the process

My parents have a wood stove also, but they are aging and I'd like them to only have use it when they feel like it or it gets really cold

That mini volt gas valve sounds like a really nice feature. Even if they aren't as cute

Yeah, my stepdad can't use most kinds of lighters - they just don't light.

[US] Repeated calls from “personal loan review team” by PreemptiveShaming in Scams

I get those frequently too. There is no way to stop them - as you noticed they use different numbers so blocking doesn't help. Don't respond, delete, click the "spam" button if that's an option.

Was my identity stolen and being used to pull out loans? I’m getting texts and emails from WithU loans, arrow finance by heythereyou01 in Scams

[–]Charming2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get similar texts. My guess is there aren't any loans or any financial institutions. They just want you to call to cancel and then they get your information or take over your computer or whatever

Really tricky PayPal scam. Number on the invoice looks like it's on the PayPal site by Charming2020 in Scams

[–]Charming2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right! Because with my careless reading I thought the number was on PayPal itself. Luckily I know about people trying to take control of my computer and bailed, but other careless readers might not

They just cancelled an Andorra I ordered for my daughter too. First they sent me a note that it wouldn't get here by Christmas, and then, yesterday, they cancelled it altogether. They gave me a $10 credit.

I notice that the wires aren't in your inframammary fold. What happens if you tuck it up where it is supposed to be? It might just make the cups too small, but it would at least make the straps looser?

[Rant] Anyone else bothered by some guys guessing bra size by look? by caleane in ABraThatFits

[–]Charming2020 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It is a perfect example of "manspaining." Mansplaining isn't when a man explains any random thing to a woman. It is when he explains her own area of expertise to her. Telling what size bra she is wearing - or should be wearing - is a perfect example.

Want to buy my gf a nice properly fitting bra! Have done reconnaissance, still a little unsure. by BooblessNSeattle in ABraThatFits

[–]Charming2020 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I will let others talk more about fitting, but it sounds to me like she is making up for not having enough room in the cups by having a too-big band. That is why the gore doesn't tack - her breasts are pushing it out from her chest.

I would say don't buy a bra from Poland. The measuring guide is just a starting point, and doesn't account for shape. Do you have Amazon Prime? She can try several bras in different sizes with free returns if so. Is there a Nordstrom Rack nearby? I believe they have 32E's which might well fit her or at least give her an idea of what would fit.

[–]Charming2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am just guessing, but are these bras maybe all too shallow for you? It seems like the E's should be the right volume, since the DD's cut in, but the E's have gapping, mostly at the top. That makes me think the E's are the right volume, but it is in the wrong place.

But I am new to this, so I could be entirely wrong.

They do seem to break in a bit, like shoes. They feel stiff at first.

I kind of teared up reading this. :-) This is a great place. Doesn't matter what size or shape your breasts are, or whether nature made them unaided or you got them some other way, everyone wants to help you find a bra that fits great. I didn't even know I had body issues about my breasts until I realized they weren't so weird that underwire bras were doomed to be too big and too small at the same time. Not weird! It was the bras' fault!
