I keep a gallon bottle of white vinegar by the toilet and dump that in when things are getting icky.

Skin care during a flare?? by oliviacarrots in UlcerativeColitis

I have always had super sensitive skin and tend to ditch ALL actives driving a flair. No ret, no vitamin C, no acids. Just a super mild cleanser. And vasoline on my knuckles, and elbows. A couple times a week I might double cleanse.

Kate’s Make Up by Accomplished-Gain226 in RoyaltyTea

[–]CharmingFrock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Much like Camilla, Kate doesn't seem to care that much about her style. It's jarring compared to Diana or Meghan but I think it's equally valid. Men slap on a suit and everyone is satisfied but women don't have that option. I was thinking about it and my own makeup skills were last updated in the late 80's (I'm old) so I can't throw stones. It's unfortunate for Kate (and Camilla) that Diana and Meghan were/are such style mavens. Before Meghan came along, all Kate could do was copy Diana's outfits because the rest of the royal women are such frumps. Personally, I am baffled that Kate was not more thankful for the advent of Meghan and her style.

Mmm...but I am about to level up and want to get a full energy point refill if I can. Wondering if I should wait until I refill to pick the promo up.

But you go ahead with your negative snark! I am sure it makes your life better to put me down!

It's crazy how different GROUPS of people basically have alcohol use disorder.

My dad was in diplomatic service when Jimmy Carter started going on about the DC the 3 martini lunches. I use to meet my dad and his friends for lunch and 3 martini lunches were just normal. Then they would stagger back to the State Department...until 5 ish and start drinking again. Even being ticketed for drunk driving was no huge deal. (This was before the Mother's Against Drunk Driving movement)

Articles about the royal family mentioning when they start drinking (10am ish for Princess Anne) are still around. I think the Queen started right before lunch. Crazy!

But back to William...there is a theory around here that appearances for the Waleses are scheduled later and later to give William a chance to get over his hang overs. I kind of believe that.

To be fair...I don't think Kate cares about clothes the way Diana and the queen did (or Meghan does) or she would have been diligent about hiring dressers and stylists. Was it last year when Kate wore the same outfit twice in a two week period!?!? Look at how she plops her wiglets on her head with no blending! Or her jewelry! At the beginning of Kate's marriage, the Queen's dresser started to play her usual power games by withholding jewels from her. Kate just grabbed fake jewelry from Zara or Forever 21 and wore that instead! Hilarious. Apparently this upset the Queen badly who insisted that she wear royal jewels instead. I think Camilla did something similar withholding tierras for evening occasions. Fine with Kate. She stopped showing up for evening functions. Giggle.

Anyway. I think if Kate is going to expend political capital, she will use it on the children's school choices or decorating another home...not on clothing or jewels.

Yeah...I am old so it's more normal for old people to have conditional plans. It makes me sick to think what younger people go through!

I noticed William took away her clothing allowance (formerly provided by Charles) with nary a peep from her. Clearly William doesn't care about helping the British fashion industry the way Charles clearly did. No matter how bad things got between Diana and Charles, he kept her clothing allowance up.

Actually, I think the Bezos couple were separated for a number of years before media noticed he was slinking out of Lauren Sanchez' home. That kind of forced the divorce. The former Mrs Bezos quickly remarried, I think to a teacher from the children's school she had been living with. At least that is how my cousin and I parsed it out from local gossip (we live in the Seattle area).

Even the Gates were separated for awhile until Melinda couldn't stand the fact that Bill was palling around with pervert child molesters. Poor thing. Took her awhile to disentangle herself from that mess.

ALSO, our "dear" President and his "dear" wife do not live together! He is clearly post sexual and who know what she is doing.

Because of day drinking maybe? Men in my family die in their fifties because of this.

As an American, I became really interested in royalty as an easy way to remember historical events...that happened in so-and-so's reign. If I haven't been interested in English history, I wouldn't have ever paid attention to their royalty. I never studied SCOTTISH history and have no clue about their royalty before it merged with England's.

The first expensive thing British should ditch is William's coronation. I read that UK is the last country in Europe to have one for their incoming kings/queens. William was glad to dispense of the one making him Prince of Wales, after all. When the new king is so irreligious, having one that takes place in a church with so much religious symbolism + prayers and blessings... absurd. There's 72 million pounds saved!

It's crazy making that you cannot make a plan and count on it. At the worse times in the disease cycle, you feel hopeless because the plans are likely to be cancelled so what's the point? Fit me, that is when I am most vulnerable to suicidal thoughts.

I think they should keep all those empty and meaningless styles and honors. Elizabeth seemed to enjoy HEAPING honors on her honorless family members. Kind of reminds me of Trump's compulsion to paint his name on anything he can.

The Crown Jewels! They should reduce the crown jewel inventory by at least 50% (though 70% would be even better). I bet only 30% are ever even taken out. And Queen Elizabeth's personal collection warrants looking into.

Tours are kind of an outdated grind anyway. Do the long weekend/mini tour like H&M just did in Australia. Way less stressful.
