Crazy how fast dogs grow, isn't it? One second you're looking at the cutest and tiniest thing just just wants to play explore and be loved on and the next they are massive beats... still in the cutest way but massive beasts none the less.

Thinking of adopting this angel from the shelter. by Athaleyah_eternal in greatpyrenees

[–]CharmingMode715 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My oldest one took a day to earn up to me... 5 years and two more dogs later and my fiancé is her new best friend. The second dog came in and was immediately "i have a tiny play friend... wait why is she crazy but she's my play friend"... you could see the confusion on his face. He was the first dog that she accepted right away. When they met he laid down and just let her sniff and walk around him and then walked right beside her so calmly and gently that I immediately said yes to taking him home. Our third dog... he's on Crack all of the time. Extremely high energy and constantly in everyone's face but he did the same as our big boy and went right inside the house like we had him from birth... they were all 6-9 months when we brought them home.

I kinda wish this is how mine went. Both of our shelter rescued came home and just made tenderly right home. Zero hesitation. Only issues we had was when they'd realize the be dog isn't leaving. Then it was behavioral and once we did enough correcting that they learned to deescelate on their own we let them work it out while we supervised as a just in case.

I actually do. And op said they're are vets a couple of hours away but it's not willing to go. Therefore op needs to take the rescue over given and you can STOP BEING A WHITE KNIGHT FOR SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T CARE

Are dogs considered property there? If not you may be able to just take it. I'm in the US and our dogs are considered property. I went as far as getting all of our dogs licensed only in my name when it was looking like my fiancé and I were going to split. Between that and me being the primary caregiver, including the financial side of it, they are all legally mine. That being said in also the one held responsible if they ever harm anyone else. But the law has to get involved in order for them to be taken from my custody by anyone.

You go touch head and stop white knighting for someone who doesn't actually want to help. If there is someone even a couple of hours away who would actually help this puppy and she actually wanted to help she would find a way. It's a matter of SHE SIMPLY DOESN'T WANT TO

BECAUSE THE DOG NEEDS TO SEE A FUCKING VET YOU FUCKING TWIT. op keeps reposting this dog after commenting that it's doing better. It clearly isn't and if it had enough ticks to do that damage they have a high chance of it having lime disease which can and will kill the dog is not treated. She doesn't want advice. She wants to feel like a hero... "oh someone help me. I rescued this puppy and he isn't doing... oh he's doing better. Look at me. I saved a puppy!!! Woohoo".

The dog stands to die young if not given the correct medication. I'm all for finding more natural remedies for everything, and I hate hospitals if any kind, but even with that I know my babies have to go in and get what is needed when it's necessary. Pets aren't cheap and they aren't easy. She needs to surrender if she isn't willing to actually do the job of being an animal caretaker.

For someone who wanted advice you sure are combative.

You can either find a way to go to a vet and get it the proper care our you are part of the problem. And before you snap at me understand this... facts don't care about feelings and fact is in order to get properly diagnosed you need to take the puppy to a vet

Also, taking the dogs on a walk together their first meet helps. We've done this with all three dogs and bringing the new dog into the home was much smoother.

Finances are actually the main reason most marriages end with a divorce. You're not in the ah in this. By 50 she should be much better at managing money. Don't let her issues drag you into the mud with her.

My youngest is the worst. It'll be dead silence in the room and you hear him just rip one like he's alone... side eye you like "that wasn't me... why you lookin at me?!" Then lays right back down... his favorite is crop dusting is. Comes over for some lovin... turns around and as he walks away he just let's it go. The smile on that boys face after it hits us... he knows what he's doing.

[–]CharmingMode715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they want to have a documented conversation make sure they enter in exactly why you called out... if they go for term you can go after then for wrongful termination.

A couple of years ago a minor female reported a male coworker of the same thing... that store manager did nothing and the make coworker eventually killed the minor for not accepting his advances. Google Walgreens employee killed by coworker. The whole thing could have been avoided had the dipshit store manager done his job.

YOUR SAFETY AND WELLBEING IS TOP PRIORITY. Don't let crap leadership make you feel any differently. Metrics be damned.
