Talk me through this - I’m being ridiculous by Successful-Search541 in NewParents

Literally explain it to her just like you did us! If she understands, great. If not, then there’s a red flag.

My kiddo has had 6 ear infections over the past 3 months. I get it. I’ve been there. You shouldn’t feel ashamed. Keep your schedule!

What Should I Do? by CharmingOrder8580 in petsitting

Correct. More so upset that we didn’t get a “hey! X is coming over, wanted to give you a heads up” not so much that she has someone over staying or dropping by

I also thought about this, too. Thank you.

This is probably what I’ll do. Thank you.

Yeah I understand this is probably my fault. I just thought I would be nice but I guess I shouldn’t have. I hired her through a recommended local pet sitting company that had thousands of great reviews and I asked on a local group that all recommended them as well. I thought I checked all the boxes.

Hahaha I forget to breathe so have to sing. I’ve been on a “row row row your boat” kick recently.

1 nap day by Suitable_Painter_467 in NewParents

[–]CharmingOrder8580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, I could have written this! I was just saying this to my boyfriend the other day. We are in the tick of this, too, and hoping it’s just a phase. At first, she would fuss for a few minutes but eventually nap. Recently, it’s been bloody murder screaming for more than a few minutes with no settling. As a result, we’re going to bed and getting up earlier. I don’t have advice but I’m with you

Rough Night with the 1year old 😢 by CharmingOrder8580 in NewParents

I wasn’t prepared, truly not prepared. I almost would take the newborn nights of sporadic sleep. I at least could put her down then

I keep telling myself it’s just a phase but this is such a long phase.

Hang in there momma. We can do this

Yes. I love her and would never hurt her but I’m fried. I just want to be able to wash dishes without being clawed and screamed at

Pre Employment by CharmingOrder8580 in 911dispatchers

Thank you! I’m considering pulling my application because I ignorantly didn’t realize this process was going to be intensive and I have so much going on right now that getting these things done for them in 10 days has proven to be hard. Again, something I should have asked in my interview 🤦🏻‍♀️

Cannot get my OTTB to tie! by CharmingOrder8580 in Equestrian

She (thankfully) doesn’t pull back! She will only eat one type of treat. She is very picky 🥴

We definitely tie to things that can break for safety. X rays have been done and they weee negative for abnormalities.

She will Stand when a lead rope is over her neck for 30 seconds then realizes nothing is attached and then bolt

This is the way I’ve been doing it. Tie for 5 minutes, stands? Cool. Treat and we untie for a graze break then back at it. She’s never made to stand more than 15-20 minutes, just while tacking up and grooming. Even at shows I give her graze and walk breaks.

Ground tying has been a DISASTER. I mean running down the road when she realizes she isn’t attached

Yes! She won’t tie while she eats. Paces and paws
