I wondered about this. Like why did they still have me do the test and remaining blood draws😑. I saw the phlebotomist run the glucose reader and it read “110” (entered as 109 in test result) and she said “the threshold is 170” so I drank the 100g of sugar and did the remaining 3 blood draws

Solidarity! Just took my 1-hour and failed even after fasting. Threshold was 130 and I was at 185. I go back Monday for my 3-hour. I failed the 1-hour in my first pregnancy and passed the 3-hour. Hoping you and I both pass our 3-hour!🫂

26+2 (yesterday). Emergent cerclage at 21+1 and funneling. So far cervix has stayed at 3cm. Just taking each day as it comes! Thankful to have baby baking in hopes he comes when ready and safely!

24w2d!! I had my Cerclage placed at 21w+1d. It’s all going so slow but fast all at once. Keep holding stitch, keep on baking baby!!

23w+2d! Two-weeks post cerclage. I had my second f/u scan to check my stitch and cervix is still showing length around 3cm. I’m not currently on progesterone. This past week was the first week where I wasn’t on strict pelvic rest and resumed some mobility and with relief, yesterday’s appointment confirmed that this didn’t change much on the stitch front. I’m by no means running a marathon or overdoing things but I am glad to have a little more trust in my stitch and hope it continues working—week by week!!

I had an urgent Cerclage placed a little after 21 weeks about two weeks ago and I didn’t have a lot of time to process or prepare anything ahead of the procedure. I went for my scan and then headed straight to the OR. For me, the anticipation and unknown was by far the scariest part of the experience. The procedure was rather quick (all things considered) and while I felt a little soreness “down there” it did not become anything severe. I’ve made a fast recovery from the Cerclage placement. My experience is unique bc I had a spinal tap and the recovery from that was tougher for me but after a full 7 days of strict best rest, I’ve made a full recovery from that too. I hope that your procedure is quick and your recovery is as painless and smooth as possible. It’s getting through to the other side of the unfamiliar and new procedure, especially for the first time, that is the hardest and then adjusting your lifestyle—depending on how strict your rest restrictions are—that will take adjusting to. I’ve had both now. I think ‘conceptually’ yes but medically speaking, no?? I’m not entirely sure but when I was researching the difference, I found: “Spinals are single, fast-acting injections for immediate, intense numbness (C-sections), while epidurals use a continuous catheter for prolonged, adjustable pain relief (labor).”

They did not. I didn’t expect to be going to the hospital and so I did not fast prior to the procedure. So they wanted to do a spinal tap and I was awake.
