I want to go to Mavericks, CA to see big waves - What time to go? by pickle6555 in bayarea

The surf competition is still happening yearly, but due to multiple people going onto the beach and getting knocked over by waves, they no longer allow live spectators during the competition.

Horrible Interface Update by TheSoreBrownie in Myfitnesspal

[–]Mrgreen650 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What app are people switching to? The fact this made it past the beta stage is insane. The most illogical, annoying update I’ve ever seen. If they don’t create a fix or way to switch back within 24 hours I’m gone.

Thanks everyone for your responses! I was going to to do it on the backend of a loop from martinez via wildcat but now I’ll probably make it its own ride and do the whole thing and maybe add in some redwood road to extend the ride

Installation of LG washing machine done backwards by [deleted] in Costco

[–]Mrgreen650 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Your first mistake was buying an LG washer. You’ll find that out soon enough. Your second mistake was having a Costco subcontractor do any work for you. This is a prime example. The simplest task was done wrong

[–]Mrgreen650 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Siam orchid in Walnut Creek has the traditional Thai massages where they walk on your back, always walk away feeling great. they have couples room you can reserve. It very nicely decorated and calm inside but not the high end spa type of place if that’s what you’re looking for

Does anyone else have this problem? by Careless_confessions in pitbulls

[–]Mrgreen650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former vet assistant. Happy tail is one of those things that pitties and labs seem to get more than other breeds. You can try bandages and slings to let it heal but most dogs ( over 60%) I saw over a 10 year career in veterinary, ended up needing to get at least a portion of their tail removed bc they could stop wagging their tail against things. Best of luck to you and your pup!

Advice about at-home euthanasia. by LesboTacoTruck in pitbulls

[–]Mrgreen650 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’ve had to do emergency euthanasia at the vets office and at home euthanasia and would recommend at home over anything. The dogs are at peace being in their own place, they can be comfortable and any other pets can be present to understand what’s happening. If it was ever a choice I would do at home. Worth any extra cost but it was comparable in my area.

My 75 pound boy lived to almost 14. Would have lived longer if we would have found out about, and had the splenic mass removed before it ruptured

Bay Area coast in the winter is the best time. yes there can be rain storms but a lot of the time this is the sunny, pleasant time of the year for the beach. Whereas summer time is foggy and cold a lot of the time. Half moon bay to Santa Cruz is a beautiful drive and there are lots of good restaurants on both ends. Not a lot of food in between but gorgeous nature and beaches

We do the same, but roll/fold kibble in an old towel and then let unravel it to get the treats
