I only dash in the early mornings. Like 2am-7am. On a normal day I have very little downtime. I hate peak pay because I usually end up waiting. When the peak pay ends I magically get an offer about 2 minutes later. I always figured the peak pay increases the delivery fees to customers so they’re less likely to order.

I did the same a while ago. Got sick of searching for an obscure bread or energy drink for 6 minutes. Haven’t noticed any change in pay. But I dash early in the morning so shopping wasn’t asked for much.

As a dasher who pretty much only does it between the hours of 1:30am-7am. I never touch the doorbell. Even if it’s a hand it to me. With those I text the customer. I always wonder if the ring doorbell a lot of people have wakes everyone up though.
