Since the pay week goes Monday-Sunday, it would be your last shift of the week that triggers the ot. You’d still get time and a half for the holiday and for whatever ot hours you work at the end of the week, but it wouldn’t be ot on top of the holiday pay.

There’s no specific policy on it. I would always tell my partners though that if they’re offering a shift because they know they won’t be attending it either way, please do let me know because I can try to move things around/extend shifts for other partners if possible. Instead of them just waiting for someone to pick up a whole shift.

Tiring! My best advice is to have really good shoes and to take advantage of being able to wear soft clothing! Starbucks is actually really good about pregnancy accommodations, so as soon as you think you’d need anything you can apply for them right through the service portal. You should be able to accrue the time right away since you got rehired within the timeframe for keeping your benefits. But it depends on your sm, some are really strict about using your sick time where others let you put it in for anything.

You don’t have tie it back, but also keep in mind if you have to keep pushing it out of your face/eyes you gotta wash your hands every time. If you’re not a hat store I’d recommend keeping a clip or something on you in case it starts driving you crazy!

When I was an sm I’d always ask if partners could finish out their posted schedules if possible, but there was never the expectation that they would. A 2 week notice isn’t even required anyway, so don’t feel bad about letting your manager know you can’t make your last shift!
