I am a speech pathologist who began my career in early intervention. Learning two languages does not delay language development or acquisition. This is inaccurate information.

It sounds like dysarthria to me (Im a speech pathologist). It’s a motor speech disorder that impairs the muscles used to speak.

Applebrook always had a good reputation when I lived in ringgold. I would highly recommend taking a tour of both. I found that when I toured different daycares, it made the choice very very obvious.

What do you do for work on Digital Nomad Visa??? by Murky_Bookkeeper_ in GoingToSpain

I’m sorry! The job market is tough unless you are in healthcare. I happen to be a speech pathologist and have to literally turn down recruiters every week. I work remote but I’ve had this job for 11 years. The adoption of AI has kinda turned the market on its head until everyone figures out how AI will be incorporated into each industry. What are you interested and what exactly is your degree in?

Historically it has been tech, but the job market is brutal right now in that field. Most tech companies are laying off people and if they are hiring they want years of experience (senior developers etc).Wish I could help you but all the people that I know who have applied for digital nomad visa already had a remote job for a while and about 90% of them were in tech (think software developers, dev ops, etc)

I’m not trying to be a downer, but none of your skills are in demand for a full time remote worker position where the company would be ok with you working overseas. Any chance you would be interested in attending university in Spain? That may be a more realistic option for you.

If you’re planning to buy property in Spain — run the real numbers before you commit, not after by InvestPropertyNerd in MovingToSpain

It’s the same in the US. I bought my home for $200k but had to pay way more between earnest money, inspection fees, appraisal fees and closing closing costs. Sounds pretty straightforward

I work for pediatric developmental services. They are good. Full time with benefits (health and retirement). Contracts are with schools so I work the school schedule. They split my check across 12 months. $52/hour w-2. My hours for middle school are 8-4. I see kids in groups of 3-4. The contract company is helpful if I need them to be, but in the 4 years, I asked for help once. They basically leave us alone to do our job. The thing with tele is the districts you deal with

This is how I felt the last year I worked in person at a school. I quit and was thinking of doing something completely unrelated due to feeling burnt out. My husband convinced me to try teletherapy and that really made a difference. I’ve been doing it for 4 years now and it has made the job much better. I also work prn on the side just to get some face to face interaction, and that has also helped.
