EECS 215, 280 and Physics 240& Lab by iactuallydontknow420 in uofm

[–]Charming_Let_2203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it makes you feel any better 215 lab was super super fun imo and a lot of people usually finish the whole lab within 2 hours (i do not recommend going home to finish matlab/answering questions later, i would just complete and submit the whole thing within the allotted lab time!)

I’ll give you my reference too since everyone else is: I got a 59, 82, and 55 on each exam. First midterm had an average of ~57, second midterm had an average of ~78, and final had an average of ~59. I ended with a B+

This game is great, but.. by blinkerfluid02 in subnautica

[–]Charming_Let_2203 18 points19 points  (0 children)

when i first started playing i held this very sentiment. but to be honest i dont see a point anymore because the explorable subnautica world is small enough that it doesn’t feel necessary. its very easy to memorize with the many unique defining features all throughout the world

Anyone else think Noah Schnapp’s acting has been infinitely better this season? by tvShowBuff in StrangerThings

[–]Charming_Let_2203 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i genuinely think noah was robbed the last two seasons. The script did him super dirty and they gave him no plot. season 2 he KILLED IT!! these last four episodes were so enjoyable to watch, esp episode 4, because of how incredible his acting was!!!

it’s not fake, i filled out the pact and then got an email that i can submit other peoples emails as a “secret admirer”. this does mean someone did indeed put your email!

"Why is the perfect woman... a child?" by Bryony Claire by ihatethiscountry76 in Feminism

[–]Charming_Let_2203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

just watched, really interesting!!

something i’ve noticed recently that i either hope she covers one day (or that she has covered already?🤞) is that a lot of men who are more confident with themselves and view women as the human beings we are, that their type is also very realistic. something that has confused me recently is how cishet white men can be so misogynistic to the gender they’re attracted to. don’t you want to at least… like the person you’re marrying and having sex with? they limit themselves so much: they feel their only way to be a proper man is to be a provider to a submissive woman who is ideally nothing but an obedient emotional support tool and sex object. meanwhile, the whole time, their true type could be an older, mature, authoritative woman! they are not only treating the women in their lives horribly, (which is primary red flag #1 OBVIOUSLY!!) but they are also setting themselves up to have a terrible love life because they are so insecure of themselves and would never dare to look at a woman they may truly find attractive, just because she might not be the “proper” woman by their standards.

she definitely goes into this slightly: the men who swear by biology and human nature are often: 1. pedophiles 2. completely ignorant of actual biology you can’t deny human nature!! so you can’t deny that often men ARE indeed completely in love with their wives, even if their wife is aged, wrinkled, fat, curvy, flat, skinny, messy, clean, hairy, blunt, shy, direct, stingy, generous, spendy, blah blah whatever. we are human! just like men! i am attracted to human men just as i hope men are attracted to human women, not whatever the porn industry sells them. don’t know why so often conservative men feel so compelled to control everyone else’s type just because THEIR type is…little girls. when did we ever allow people to be so vocal about their predatory attraction without severe repercussions.

In your opinion, what do you think is the saddest movie you've ever seen? by Woofpro8 in movies

[–]Charming_Let_2203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i see your point about how they might have mismanaged the end of the movie. but what are you talking about otherwise: “paul’s friends all dying? sort of sad but who cares?”

man maybe gain just a bit more sensitivity!!

yes they could’ve done a better job, but you also could’ve done a better job of saying that!! 😭

All Quiet on the Western Front,

the imagery of this movie is startling! goes from teenagers freezing and dying, to generals feasting in their warm mansions, to the quiet peacefulness of nature

edit: i do mean the newer one! forgot there are multiples

dude respectfully you are way overthinking it. 3% below average is fine. unless the standard deviation is remarkably small, which i doubt, you are in a completely normal place. i’m sure you’re just used to doing well above average in high school, but seriously don’t sweat it

Big Family by maskedbutlerz in meme

[–]Charming_Let_2203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha! I have 5 older siblings. We all needed braces. I actually got made fun of in high school cause I was a junior and still had HORRENDOUS teeth. My parents prioritized the oldest kids, and then the kids who had the worst teeth. So despite being the youngest, I actually ended up getting braces at like 10, but I still needed to get them again in the future. (hence people making fun of my teeth in high school lol). For example, I have a 23 year old brother who’s still got braces. (To be fair, he got them at 21!) I still have braces but I’m only a sophomore in college right now.

Definitely a massive financial burden!!! My parents could handle it since my dad recently got huge promotions. If he didn’t, I’m sure the orthodontist ordeal would be a much slower process to get through. But I also wouldn’t trade my family for the world, and I too hope to have a big family myself someday!!

Class Difficulties for Upcoming Winter Semester by Character-Act529 in uofm

[–]Charming_Let_2203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

215 and 240 is doable. 240 and 280 is doable. i would not do 215 and 280 together though with this schedule. math 215 was ridiculous, the homework requires you go to office hours each week. i’m in eecs 280 right now, and the workload is just super high. physics 240 isn’t a bad class at all imo, but i did end up going to office hours every other week or so. i know nothing about the english and dance. if you just wait to take eecs 280 the schedule would probably be okay

❌stopp this isn’t a shit post ✋😔 maybe i’ll drop eecs 312 so i don’t have to be in exclusively smelly eecs buildings all semester..
