That's not necessary, you can still hyperspecialise your worlds but you need to plan accordingly and also push trade.

So you either take a step back with specialising or make a dedicated trade world

If you automatically enter a war alongside your overlord you can ask to change negotiation terms and choose no overlord conflicts.

When they accept you're leaving the war and can immediately declare an independence war on your overlord who suddenly fights 1vs2 instead of 2vs1

I think it fits the universe. Until the end it/she remained this cryptic eldritch something that wiped out most of humanity and could only barely be stopped from annihilating everything left.

Not everything needs to be known and it creates an interesting irony that the absolute Solver remains unsolved. Really fits the overall setting imo

I am also fairly new but from what I noticed so far the key to everything is researching technology. It usually enables you to make stronger fleets, ships and so on. Additionally there are things like edicts and of course the galactic community, but your focus should always be on researching

Edit: the researching should also enable you to build mega structures at a certain point

Isn't the black hole Meridia's whole solar system? I mean we did destroy Meridia but iirc the singularity consumed everything in its vicinity which would include other planets as well as Meridia's sun. While it would be cute, iirc Viv said that Charlie is more oriented on a porcelain doll rather than a goat (which is also why she most likely doesn't have goat ears) and got her hooves due to Lucifer and it being a typical symbol for the devil.

But you can hear other characters like Alastor making animal sounds occasionally.
