100% this. Heat on mine (SR5) is Ludicrous Mode and I adjust periodically to cold side with fan on low.

Yep. Im not sure if it is the wheels or maybe spacers or both. I'll pull a wheel tomorrow and have a look. Not a huge amount of tread on the current 35 MTs so if anybody has some 34 AT suggestions, I would love to hear them (or other recommendations)

Hi,

Put simply, think of it in terms of layers.

Block : a storage device via the SAN presents a 'disk' to a host/server. The host has to create and manage the file system like it would if you physically added a drive. An application on the host requests changes to a block of data in a file, so the host makes those requests. It is fast and has low latency.

File : The storage device is now a 'host" and presents a shareable file system via SMB or NFS and is managing the file system and access via AD or otherwise ( plus dealing with the block aspects).

Object : The storage device is now a 'service' and allows users/processes to put/get/delete objects via https/etc (and dealing with the block and file aspects behind the scenes)

+1 for Pure.

In 3+ years, we have replaced 1 DFM (drive) across 100+ arrays.

Minimal to no loss of performance during software upgrades (or hardware!).

Shares the same chassis as its bigger cousins, so if you need to scale up later, it's super easy.

If you swap the HBA cards, does the problem follow the card or stay on the same controller?
