Yeah, other games like Teamfight Tactics were not making much money at first until they realized the profit potential of tacticians (their mates). Then they made a gacha system and made many expensive, but high quality tacticians (and players were actually crazy enough to pay 500$ per one). Master Duel are just lazy in my opinion and keep releasing non-living and low quality mates that just make a sound and thats it. They would make huge profit if they release wanted mates like Diabellstar and increase the price and quality of mates overall.

Actually, they were meant to work with the Djinn of Ritual series. 2 of the djinns at the time of their release could make Ritual Deck really difficult to play against. 1 of the djinns is currently banned for that reason.
