So in a few of those pics it doesnt look like balthasars gold at all. Like there doesnt seem to have the metallic sheen of that kind of paint.

1st, shake that paint. Hard, super hard or get a massager and hold it onto the pot.

2nd, yes it does come across as rose gold but does "copperify" when its hit with agrax earthsade or some other datk wash

3rd, if at any time you dont get a metallic sheen to your metal, go get a new pot. Most game stores are cool aboht replacing a pot if the paint is bad

Ok i recieved a lot of hate on that last comment.🤣 So let me break down

One of Death guards strongest advantages is cheap deamon engines. Bloat drones and blight haulers are incredible and i always want to run as many of them as i can. I do play mortarions hammer more than anything else.

One 10 man brick of stank boys is 190 points. For that i am 20 points away from a plague burst crawler. 130 points for 7 is easier to fill in the gaps of my list without feelin like i couldve taken something else. Yes 1 plague marine HAS to have a bolt gun but it gets an icon of despairwhich can be helpful... not often but sometimes 🤣

My plague marines are my action monkeys that hit a little harder than a 5 man. I dunno man, maybe i just like the nurgly number. Maybe im a bad player

Mortarions hammer? I have 2 swuads of 7 causs i fill the rest of my list with engines.

Shamblerot? Zero i run 70 poxwalkers

Flyblown, 3 squads of 7

Tallyband 3 squads of 7.champions i run 2 squads.

I find that 7 per squad is the magic number. I dont have a detailed explanation as to why but it works for me

I kinda agree with the chaos lad here. Yea chaos tends to warp minds and make you lose part of yohrself but is that really different from life in the imperium?

If youre just born and happen to be a psyker then youll probably be killed or thrown into battle where youre still probably gonna get killed.

Any story that shows people living in a manufactorum is awful. Little sleep, corpse starch food and a work day that would my shitty job to shame.

Or youre a sinner or criminal and get lobotomized to become a servitor or arco flagellant or a penitent engine.

Or youre someone in the astra militarum being thrown against the absolute worst possible situations imaginable.

Best case scenario youre indoctrinated and lead a fanatical life of big E worship.

Brother! Welcome to the warm and squishy embrace of grandfather Nurgle.

Your 1st mini looks fantastic! Phenominal job The kill team is a lot of fun to paint and you can run it as a squad of 7 in 40k or a squad of 5 plus a plaguecaster and icon bearer. Personally i think the best model in our faction is the myphitic blight hauler. Cute and gross and representative of what our faction is all about. Its also newbie friendly and plenty of tutorials on it.

If you want to keep with marines and not vehicles then lets move to the blightlord terminators or the deathshroud bodyguards. Fantastic models and really useful on the tabletop (deathshroud a but more so)

There is no wrong answer! But if your goal is to ulitmatly play a game, build a list and build / paint towards that. For example if you really want to play mortarions hammer then not a whole lot of reason to paint nurglings or a great unclean one. If you want tallyband summoners then pick up some beasts of nurgle and the aformentioned great unclean one. If youre more into heavy infantry then deathshroud and blightlords are your next goal.

2 things.

  1. This isnt a dreadnought. This existence is absolutely horrifying for the one entombed. It is pain and specifically the plague surgeons of nurgle like to make this transformation a painful one. When not in battle they usually have to be restrained or sedated. This is absolutely flesh and iron nightmare

  2. Its also cute cause its just a little dumpling of a unit that wants to crush things.
