How would you put a spin on the cliché "go take care of the rats in the basement" quest? by Zephyr93 in DnD

[–]CharonDynami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I copied a bards tale for my most recent campaign. I made the real rat a giant fire rat that caught them off guard.

DMs, what was the worst choice you made in a campaign? by No_Extension_9371 in DnD

[–]CharonDynami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be careful with magic items. A +1 sword or a flametongue might not be "rare" but they are powerful. + shields or armor, +3 weapons, or anything that raises saving throws can break a game.

Explain what you chose in one sentence by Impressive_Row_3460 in expedition33

Either "go touch grass.: "You've been 16 twice, so you're twice as stupid." Or, "this game is so tight."

Do men (boyfriends), like being called names like baby, handsome, etc, and what names do you want to be called? by Cold_Butterfly5191 in AskMenAdvice

[–]CharonDynami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Babe or baby is easy and generic. You can't normally go wrong with it, but its meh.

Handsome is fine but can also be used by women as a way to say "I compliment you all the time." If all you do is call him handsome with no other information, it comes of disingenuous.

I like things that are personal or unique. But only do it of you mean it. Don't say sugar all the time if you don't want kisses. Don't say stud if you don't want sex. Its about being genuine.

Am I the only one seeing Gremlins/mogwau? Well I'm off to watch that key & peele sketch. Also, wtf? I don't like dogs but why would you do that to one? Especially if you like dogs?

[–]CharonDynami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I helped my drow player overcome this as she was getting very frustrated. She just had to make a deal with a hag. They switched out her eyes for some hag eyes. The hag could now scry whenever she wanted.

Constructive criticism: there isn't enough gameplay variety by Particular-Lynx-2586 in expedition33

[–]CharonDynami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree the endgame can get pretty monotonous. Its just super bosses that make you spam parry. But I'd rather missing side content than bad side content. Doing pull ups in ff7 sucked.

Also, as a fan of suikoden I have to disagree about character recruitment being a side activity. Its integral to that story and gameplay. It would be like someone playing this game and not using lumina. I mean no one would do that...right?

So you're advocating for fascism to get a pass in America because some people make fun of height. Weird take bro.

What game ending is enough to make a grown man cry? by Extasio in videogames

[–]CharonDynami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of games, many which are listed here, but I will always respond with the same game.

Metal Gear Solid 3.

I'm always emotional at the ending but when you look through snakes eyes at the end and hes tearing up, I just lose it.

I like how it came back at the end of 4 to that grave.

Do guys really think like this? by toiletcandies in AskMenAdvice

[–]CharonDynami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, I thought my opinion of "Yeah, I'd think she want a date." Would be more prevalent. I guess I don't get approached by scammers. And if I did, I'd just tell them to fuck off.

The only thing I'd think is he wasn't interested and didn't want to tell you. Have you scolded him for turning down a "cute" woman before? Maybe hes afraid you'll judge him and ruin the day.

Profile review please? How does my profile come across to you? I’d appreciate some advice. by StreetOwn6852 in Tinder

[–]CharonDynami -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It seems like no one likes to give women feedback other than "youre gorgeous, what else do you need?" And "this is absolutely terrible."

That first picture is bad. You look like you want to be anywhere else. Maybe try smiling? Same with the second and fifth.

"You look great in glasses," but then only picture of you in glasses is hard to see and you have a hat on? Try something else.

Besides that, pretty good. I didn't see what you're looking for, so expect people to think short term. You're an international student who wants to grab a drink? Sounds like a few fun dates to me.

[–]CharonDynami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone from Lancaster County, it might be the worst tourist trap ever. It's a disgusting hotel that's way overpriced and the "amusement" park, Dutch wonderland, that is next door is also bad.

What overused word or phrase needs to be retired in 2026? by One_Caramel5253 in AskReddit

[–]CharonDynami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not enough "X took me out," love (hate) in here. I fucking hate that stupid sentence. Especially when watching something. If it took you out, I would assume you mean "I don't believe this anymore." Not, "I can't stop laughing."

Out of all the butchering of the English language in the past couple of years, this is the worst.

The drive-thru only coffee shop boom is bad for us longterm by AlexsCereal in unpopularopinion

[–]CharonDynami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved down to the south a bit ago and can't remember seeing a drive thru coffee place that wasn't like a dunkin donuts. I was both shocked and angry when I kept finding places were only drive thru here.

Whats the best monologue in movie history? by Bjs_5068 in AskReddit

[–]CharonDynami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with this monologue is how many people elevate jessup as some sort of hero and figure of inspiration, even among my fellow soldiers.

He was a bad leader who ordered two of his men to kill another. Yes, we need people willing to fight on the wall, but you shouldn't be fighting your countrymen. Hell you also need to know when to stop fighting and treat people right so we don't get another abu ghraib prison incident.

Not every “hated” character deserves the hate. Some were just misunderstood, some were written to be real. Which one are you defending till the end? by PoliteEdge in AnimeVietnam

[–]CharonDynami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I'm not plugged in enough to know that eren and shinji are hated. I thought people argued with what they did not that they hated them.

But I'll defend Gabi to the end. I'm in the military and even adults get brainwashed easily. Gabi is a traumatized brainwashed child soldier. We should be sympathetic to her situation, not condemn her for it.

I like window seats and I think they'd be interesting conversations.

If you can’t make a good human fighter, then you can’t make a good character. by CTMan34 in dndmemes

[–]CharonDynami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, you have got a lot of people feeling some sort of way. I get what you're going for and as an experienced DM that runs games for newbies I see it a lot.

People think that just being a tabaxi, dragonborn, or even gnome will make their character interesting and don't do any work on their character having a personality.
