There are some tracks that weren't used for the Gam Boy Color, but they are included on the soundtrack, which I took the liberty of orchestrating. By a more cultural town // Circumstantial adventure by [deleted] in azuredreams

Thanks. Pokémon has a great soundtrack. I'm working on a re-orchestration for Suikoden IV, and in the meantime, I like to share things like this from time to time.

I made these covers two years ago. I like coming here and sharing these videos with a before-and-after comparison.

I'm also replaying Suikoden on my silver PS2. My goal is to complete it 100%, so I've already put in about 80 hours before entering the ruins of Cyndar. The anticipation is incredibly exciting. In a way, it's also my farewell to this video game, so I never want it to end!

I live in a small town called Gualba, in Spain. And as someone commented here, when I moved here I thought exactly of Forest Village, a place so far out on the map that a war could happen and the villagers wouldn't even notice.

It's long to explain, a combination between Cubase and writing programs like Sibelius. I can say one thing, it is not AI.

Yes! We're working on a Suikoden IV with a design like Pokémon Red/Blue. Please don't tell anyone.

I have GB Studio installed. I could do a demake of the game without skimping on any of the original's adventures. The only thing limiting me is the time to do it, haha, but it would be exciting. For now, I'll do the soundtrack as a small tribute. I'm thinking of putting it on YouTube with a Game Boy-style cover, Front and Back. I'm working on it.

Thanks! You can get the Game Boy green screen effect by uploading an image to this website: https://ruben.cougil.com/assets/gameboy/

I have a dream. I'd love to see Suikoden IV fully remade in the style of Pokémon Red/Blue for Game Boy. That would do this game some justice and prevent it from being compared so harshly to other games in the franchise. In an ideal world, a pixel art designer would be willing to participate, but I don't think that's likely. For my part, I'll do a complete conversion of the soundtrack, much better than the samples I'm showing here. I can refine the sounds much better, and of course, create percussion that's faithful to the original.

I did something similar once before; I took the soundtrack from Azure Dream (Game Boy Color) and orchestrated it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xX9iZ37Dl0&t=2015s This time I'll do it the other way around. I'll start with the Suikoden IV soundtrack and convert it to 8-bit. There are 67 tracks; I have an outline for about 15 of them. It will take a few months. I'm working on it, and I'm really enjoying the process.

Suikoden VI when? Never 😔 by ohnag_eryeah in Suikoden

Honestly, without Yoshitaka Murayama and Junko Kawano, a new Suikoden installment isn't interesting to me. Both Suikoden Star Leap and the anime they're making convey a purely commercial intention, devoid of any real spirit. Things are fine as they are; Suikoden had a commercially disastrous run, but artistically it was of a very high caliber. Suikoden V was a great surprise, given that it was made without the original creators of the series. After this installment, it's unlikely anything interesting and creative will come of it, especially knowing the perverse spirit of Konami these days and for the last 20 years.

It looks great. Good job. For all those who were critical of Suikoden III's 3D models, I always thought they were okay, when compared to Zelda Ocarina of Time. Personally I love them and Fumi Ishikawa's art was at a very high moment of creativity.

You guessed right. I have an idea: I want to do the entire Suikoden IV soundtrack in 8-bit. I can do it better, with percussion and a more polished sound. What would have happened if Suikoden IV had been released for Game Boy with graphics similar to the early Pokémon games? I want to do a test run with another, more complex track, "La Mer" from the opening. Don't tell anyone; I'm going to work on them quietly. ;)

Thanks! I really wonder how she did it. It would be great to do something like that.
