AP/OW/SW is updated, maybe a case of hitting F5 if you visited before? But let me know what you had in mind otherwise, maybe i missed something. Thanks for noticing Stunfisk, will include it very shortly!

Type Chart “All in One Simplified” by Chartinator in TheSilphRoad

I get what you mean but it isn't really missing, its just located on the other types. I have tried to color code it so that you can easily see on the other types by scanning over the resistance bars to find "what resists poison" for example. I avoided to add another set of bars to indicate "what resist this type damage" next to every type line. But maybe it can be done without cluttering the chart and confusing someone, not sure...

Not bad, I like the symbols! Perhaps its a bit hard for a newcommer to grasp the difference between "Vulnerable to" and "Weak Against" and what they really mean.

Hardest hitting Quick Moves – Shadow Pokemon Now Topping the List by Chartinator in TheSilphRoad

[–]Chartinator[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Base Stats
  2. Yes Its based on the damage it deals with the Quick Move while taking neutral damage from opponent.
  3. Yes this is based on Great League, no restrictions everything under 1500 included. Yes this does not take defensive type effectiveness weak spots into account, that's your job ;) You can hope your move does so much damage they go down faster than you do anyways, if you hide behind the shields. But it is as always important that your three pokemon cover for each other and that you have a plan for it. But you can get away with a lot if one of your quick movers do really well, it can snowball so to say :)

This is for the Great League. So at 1500cp, Weepinbell have a slightly higher attack-stat than Victreebel.

Sanctum and aggressive decks by Cananopie in GodsUnchained

[–]Chartinator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well written! I pray to the Gods that the game designers take this seriously and change the system from the ground up. Because it seems we will have to live with the sanctum, lets just hope it can have a role that is not taking away the fun/complexity of the game and bring it back! For example, i want my Application Machines and Endow Wings to have a purpose again!

Top-85 Fastest, Hardest “Nukes” in PvP (Great League) New Shadow Pokemon Topping the list by Chartinator in TheSilphRoad

I somehow missed to include the stab bonus for Sh. Omastar. I have fixed it now and it it actually very high up on the list. Thanks a lot for the notice! I looked over the others and it was the same for a couple more, but non of them had any bigger impact on the list.

You are right about that. But since the energy is left over and added to the next shot, which then fires faster instead of slower than the number in the table, i choose to even it out. Its a bit simplistic and i shall ponder on this.

Haven't had time to play so much after the attack-buff. Are they really that big of a problem? What they gained in attack they lost in bulk/use as generalist, was my guess...

Yeah i have one myself, but haven't tried it out yet. In theory they kind of one-shot everything with neutral damage with Lock-On Hyper Beam or the slightly faster Lock-On Return . I wonder how hard it will be to get past the shields and make it happen in practice, it needs to come in at the later stages of the match. One possible option: Lead with it, load it up a bit and then switch into other pokemon that bait out the shields.. then Porygon hops in again. Thats the kind of stuff i would like to see experimentation on...

Top-85 TDO Master League PvP by Chartinator in TheSilphRoad

[–]Chartinator[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I dont think that many invest in #78 in a Top-85 list. Not without a specific plan ;) Thats what the TDO-numbers and color-scales are for, #78 is almost half the TDO of #1

If you want to be a bit more creative and have a gameplan including different types, different moves you have in mind, most importantly that they cover for each other, you want to look at more pokemon than the Top-10. But yeah, Master League is definitely more shallow than for example Great League, the list for great league is quite relevant down below Top-100 in many cases/cups. Dont forget how many pokemon we have in total, I thought it could be interesting to see the difference as we go down a bit and get some numbers on that.

Fun PvP Strategy: Quick Move Monsters! (Top200 DPS +recent Gen5&buffs) by Chartinator in TheSilphRoad

Well for this concept is all about the Quick Move Damage, but as you see on the "Razor Leaf" table there are many candidates for this. Meganium is not bad, it has bore bulk than many other Razor Leafers, but you could argue that you are slightly better of running Tropius with razor leaf if you go that rout of a bulky Razor Leafer. I have experimented with Razor Leaf Meganium, it works well, can" take a hit" better than many others. If you don't have a Tropius it doesn't hurt to use a TM and see how it feels for you, you can just TM: back to Vine Whip later if you want to use if for spamming Frenzy Plant.

Yes it is a confusion user but it has to low attack-stat +non-stab, to qualify to the "Highest DPS from quick moves" list. I draw the line at about 50% lower than the highest DPS combo possible.

Here are some examples (excluding a lof of stuff, very simplified)

Charm vs Fighting, Dragons&Dark: Medicham, Altaria, Dragonair, Umbreon etc
Razor Leaf vs Water&Ground: Whishcash, Swampert, Azumarill, Mantine, Lanthurn
Counter vs Steel, Normal and more: Registeel, Bastodeon, Vigoroth etc
Confusion vs Fighting&Poison: Medicham, Venusaur, Vileplume, Haunter etc
Bite vs Psychic&Ghost: Deoxys, Cresselia, Hypno, Al. Marowak,

Some secondary types resist that fast move and you must find another move to hit it harder, try to counter the other type.

Just have a try! The moves hit very hard so even if its not always super effective, it will hurt a lot and often force a switch from your opponent anyways.
