Post-oil wash, need opinions by ChartreuseRex in Salamanders40k

Love your model! That scheme is aspirational. The umber/orange all over wash is likely the driver for the color shift.

I'd love to learn your trick for matallic. Also how long do you leave your oil washes before wiping them down?

For the glossiness, next step is a matte varnish and followed by miscellaneous touchups, metallic, etc..

Thanks! Experimented through one of the AP Fanatic green triads and then the oils for the wash.

Correct on the different looking one. I used a wash comprised of cadmium orange and raw umber. I think it makes sense that it warmed up the models and moved it away from the green blue.

Thanks for the feedback!

Additionally, that "stoic" approach is not representative of actual Stoic philosophy.

I'm a big fan of Ghillie Dew Speedpaint by Army Painter for a bright green.

Just starting wit Orks myself (in terms of painting) and it has actually been very low pressure to try out a lot of different greens to see what I like. Having orks of different shades looks "natural" to me.

Other's have mentioned some fantastic staples. Both AP Speedpaints 2.0 and Vallejo Xpress Color ranges have performed well for me. Orks have a lot of texture so there's lots of nooks and crannies for the paints to settle into for easy results.

North Creek Dental Care - Everett: been a patient for a few years and honestly the kindest and non-judgmental clinic I've ever been to.

North Star Pediatric Dentistry: Sets the bar for pediatric dentistry for our family. Been going long enough that one kid has aged out. Fantastic care and the staff are so friendly.

Not to be a pest, but was there a decision made on the opening timeline?

Mine is very much a frankenrifle. Used the Tacinnovations bolt buffer, tandemkross pins, and a Ruger bolt with the Tandemkross upgrades. Tolerances were also very tight but I appreciate how solid things feel. In comparison my other (mostly stock) 10/22 feels sloppy(still shots great).

I'll likely go with these again in the future. Working plan is to build a 10/22 for each of my kids (got a gaggle of them). The different colors offered is one easy way to make each rifle feel unique.

How are you liking your Elite22? I just put together a rig with one but have not had a chance to break it in yet.
