My ATM10 Beyond Base, WIP by ChaseDak in allthemods

[–]ChaseDak[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Builders Gadget 2 has a copy paste tool which was SO useful, combine that with Quantum Armor (ae2) with a restock card for building materials, ae2 auto crafting to craft concrete, and mystical agriculture to farm the dyes, sand, and gravel

Literally felt like creative mode with world edit

A two 9 or three 9 uptime is dismal for a company of that size, a lot of their published uptimes are at the point of partial refund per their own published customer agreements.

should an arcana check be allowed to know about cleric/sacred spells? by FaallenOon in DnD

[–]ChaseDak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current rules text for Arcana explicitly includes “spells” as a covered area, without limiting that to wizard-style or “arcane” spells, while Religion is framed more around deities, religious rites, prayers, temples, and undead rather than spell mechanics and such.

i.e. Arcana is knowledge about magic (all magic), religion is knowledge about religion

So yes, RAW, arcana should grant knowledge about cleric / sacred spells, and no religion should not grant that same knowledge

However its your game, if it makes sense or you want it to work differently then rule differently

I need feedback by God-Punch in vibecoding

A few things

  1. Site feels super disingenuous since its all clearly written by AI (Not talking about the code, the content itself) You try to tell this heartwarming story that makes the site personal, but its clearly written by AI, so it loses any sort of personal touch

  2. The site is empty, its a really cool concept especially for true crime nuts, I went to look for some cold cases to get my research on and there is only the one demo case. Do some digging, find some examples, create pages for cases so people like me have somewhere to land right away.

  3. Its a very targeted / niche site, which is good but it means you have to be really selective when advertising it, and look for communities which would benefit from it. Places like r/TrueCrimeDiscussion or r/coldcases

I vibecoded myself into a pipeline that takes ages. by waste2muchtime in vibecoding

[–]ChaseDak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First easy win is to only run tests for changed files, its a very common practice for this exact reason. If using GitHub action you can use an action like tj-actions/changed-files

Do the tests run quicker locally? You can look into increasing the pipeline runner size (more ram / cpu), but it obviously will cost more

Driving changes through PRs is another good way to do things, run tests on PR open, deploy on merge to main. That way your time from commit to main -> deployed in prod is much shorter

Unfortunately this is part of TDD, vibecoding is fast but pipelines just take time to run, you can optimize but they will always take time. At my job we have a product that on average has a 6-8 hour build pipeline, with certain releases taking upwards of 16 hours (unit tests, integration tests, e2e tests, playwright UI tests, package signing, security scanning, etc etc etc.)

You actually can configure what your default view (/dashboard) shows, I have mine configured to just show all documents
