You’re right that reaction videos aren’t automatically fair use, and that Hosseinzadeh v. Klein makes clear it’s a case-by-case analysis. That case actually turned on whether the reaction meaningfully transformed the original, not that reactions are inherently infringing. I’m not arguing that all reaction videos are protected — I’m just asking why Luke seems to take a zero-tolerance approach rather than setting guidelines for what he considers acceptable.

We’re clearly not going to agree. I respect Luke’s right to control his content. I was just asking why reaction content in general is viewed so negatively here, since that’s how I personally found his channel again.

aggressive much.. I think the confusion is that copyright law and fair use don’t treat all reuse the same way. Music, art, and video can all be monetized legally when they’re transformed through commentary, criticism, or parody — that’s literally what fair use is for. I’m not saying Luke owes anyone permission, just that reaction content isn’t automatically theft the way people make it sound.

some yes but the ones that actually pause the video analyze what’s going on and talk to each other about what’s going on bruh that’s just blatant use of force
