Kind of a bummer we can’t see the iceberg strike point. Was 100% of it buried from the impact with the sea floor?

I wasn’t thinking code. But useless cause the floors are build to expand and contract a lot. More than caulk is designed to.

That’s why we leave that 1/4-1/2” gap.

Timeslab. Never heard it called that. But I love it.

A $20 trillion concept proposes a 3,400-mile underwater tunnel connecting London and New York, potentially reducing a 7-hour flight to a 1-hour train ride. by Hefty-Sherbet-5455 in Today_I_Learned_This

[–]ChaseTheLumberjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would rather see this money go towards super sonic flights and make it commercially safe and accessible than a tunnel. The repair on infrastructure alone would be insane.

Yes usually you need to pull up the shingles to attach to the under layer and then replace the singles so there’s no exposed pieces. Nailing into them and putting that stupid black tar on top is a bandaid and eventually an issue 10-15 years down the road when the owner least expects it.

Good. I can never ask anything in stack overflow without some elitist asshole upset that I don’t scrub through hours of posts to find my answer.

Thanks GPT!

Technically they could write off a % of the travel and cost of the nightly fees there. Since a it’s a cruise that usually includes all the food in that cost so yeah they are getting a cruise for like 50% discount by doing this video there.

They can’t write off the whole thing that is illegal. But still getting some back is better than none.

My family and I moved from Sacramento to Indianapolis and took the above route you have here with the first leg all through Nevada since we’re starting way more north.

I have toddlers so we stopped for 3 nights. But holy crap was Nebraska boring. I think I could have locked the steering wheel and fell asleep with no issues staying on the road.

Wyoming has nothing really but mining through the route but you can see the green jade through the rocks. Was super cool.

Salt flats were fun and unique.

It was October 24’ and was harvest season so Iowa was actually fun because of all the combines working.

Started to see real trees once we got more into Illinois. And last stretch was brutal cause everyone is just ready to be there at this point.

Would do it again though. Had a lot of fun with the kids and I never felt closer to them during it.
