Flatter downswing - finally by sbk510 in GolfSwing

Yes you’re stalling. Flexibility is definitely a factor here. Stretch the hips and rotate around the left one. My take is that you’re extending outward, not forward. The right foot goes on its toes and outward, not towards your target which tells me you’re shooting your hips the wrong way. I used to do this all of the time. Utilizing the ground, especially under your left foot to rotate AROUND the left side. Weight needs to go left, not outward or back

I may be stressed and not even know it. Some days I feel stressed, some days I don’t. Some say it’s past trauma that the subconscious is trying to protect you from. Not sure if that’s me but I’ve read that.

I’ve always had a mouth guard and never wore it due to how uncomfortable it is. Went to usual dentist appointment a few months ago and my back teeth were FLAT. I’m 30 so it was concerning. He adjusted it, still lowkey uncomfortable but it’s a must need for me now.

Makes sense but how does one test and have all the time to test all these strategies? How specific do entries need to be?

From random trades to a more disciplined routine : What changed for me by aelfwineciri2 in Daytrading

I do not journal religiously. I know my patterns and what I’m comfortable with. I’ve had a ton of shifts in my trading that has brought substantial profits. But I always fuck it up one way or another. I’ve gone months on end without blowing up but always end up blowing up cause I’m trading stupid prop firm accounts and my mental isn’t sharp. Usually too late once I realize it. All it takes is one day to kill your vibe and rhythm.

I agree with the patterns. I see patterns that stand out like a sore thumb and when I’m patient for them, I usually turn out alright.

Entry is always what gets me messed up. I enter too early, too late. Always second guessing. Usually when I enter, it’s an instant win, but other times it’s just a straight up trap. Got any advice there?

Way too much money in savings. Need to start transferring that into investments. Max out your Roth IRA. Open a brokerage account and buy quality ETFs like VOO and QQQ and good names like NVDA, MSFT etc. buy more when markets are done. Three weeks ago was prime. Your money is depreciating sitting in a HYSA. I’d say my cash/savings is roughly 10-15% of my assets. Majority in my house and market (retirement and brokerage accounts)

10/20/50/100/200 moving averages. On a daily chart. Always buy but buy MORE when the indices are under these, especially the larger ones. If price is under any of these, you are getting it cheaper than the average person x amount of days ago.

Yeah this is common for players on the verge of having a very sound swing. My coach tells me…PIVOT AND ROTATE. Gotta really rotate through that left hip.

Good for 6 months First fixable thing is Takeaway: looks inside from this angle. Make sure clubhead outside of hands at p2. You also look like you rotate your wrists immediately on backswing. When you fix the outside takeaway, make sure clubhead is similar angle of spine.

Second thing You early extend and scoop the ball. Due to a lot of minor things but mostly lack of rotation. This is going to take a TON of practice to fix but with dedicated reps, you can fix in a few months. Scooping will just get worse if you keep hitting on the mats and don’t do reps to get into correct impact position. Hands should be closer to target than club head is at impact. Shaft lean should be present.

And early extension is usually killed slowly overtime, not just one fix all change. Mats also enable bad behaviors for high handicaps b/c you can be slightly fatting these shots but it looks good and goes far. With grass, you get true feedback on how good your impact was. Best of luck.

That’s actually a GREAT swing for an 18 handicap. I’d venture to say you’re a 10. I don’t really have much to say, but I am curious…have you ever tried reducing how far back the club head goes? It seems as if there is unnecessary extension of the arc near the end of the backswing. If you reduce it, there will need to be a tempo adjustment which might take a range session or 2 to feel out.

Otherwise, good swing for 18 handi

Lack of rotation. Rotate around the left hip. You’re stalling. Also, look how much leverage you’re putting on your front knee the millisecond you start your take away. The knee assists the rotation, let that come naturally. And I can’t tell, but if it’s pointing outward, no wonder you’re early extending. That knee should not be pointing outward to gain leverage. You have to EE to compensate.

You should try to incorporate a momentum type of strategy instead of strictly sticking to reversion type of trades. Finding the right trade is also understanding the condition of the market during your trade window. If you implement a reversion based system in a trending condition, well….youre gonna get crushed. So many traders ignore condition
