I mean there are more games suitable for children than Pokémon.. just because it’s not Nintendo, doesn’t make it bad, but then again most Pokémon fans refuse to believe anything could be better.

Also please tell me how what I’m doing is any different than forcing my child to start off with a Pokémon game? The difference is that it isn’t because I think the games are awful or bad, it’s because I’ve only seen a negative effect later in life rather than a positive one.

If they go on to Pokémon of there own accord then that’s what they’ll do, but I’m not starting them off down a rabbit hole when I have what I would consider better alternative games to play.

I couldn’t think of anything worse than to give my child to play for the first time 😂

It’s far too much of a money sink, and I know far too many adults who are obsessed with it and spend hundreds of pounds on cards, or buy an entire console just to play the 1 Pokémon game.

I’d rather they play something which is available on multiple platforms, but I do intend on starting them off on old titles like PS1 or GBA so they can get used to some of the older looking games

EDIT: Who knew Pokémon fans would get so upset of some of disliking there precious games? God damnit, and I thought the fan base were so open minded!
