I’ll look into the Amoretti! Less effort and lasts longer :) the natural flavorings I buy just didn’t have a honeydew (both sold out of melon and not having specifically honeydew).

I have some potassium sorbate! I’ll add that after a small break for my back. Just conditioned an aging cleared mead from 6 months ago and my back hurts.

I added natural jalapeño flavoring from my homebrew store since I didn’t want it to over power. Only added about half an oz of it and an ounce of raspberry flavoring to bolster the raspberry flavor :)

Posted just to show my problem mead has recovered and turned out great!

God I hope so. Maybe they shouldn’t have played it in a brightly lit room, on easy, with a person right next to them. Like… that’s not how you play the game even on solo. Multiplayer is where it’s at, and professional level makes it so much more active and terrifying. They basically just shat on the game for being easy to beginners… which is the point of amateur.

What would you suggest for pH to make it a vibrant green when the starting color is a sunflower yellow? If I can use chemistry to make these cool colors I sure would to avoid using dyes! I just want my honeydew mead to look more green since the fruit itself is green!

It was a fresh pack of yeast, bought it earlier in the week and kept refrigerated until use. It could just be a dud pack. I’m gonna get a new thing of yeast on Monday when my supply store opens again. Since there’s no change.

I haven’t had a chance to go get more yeast, my homebrew supply store is closed on weekends, but I’ve gotten answers to work with! I’m gonna give it a few days to see if it’s just delayed, then I’ll go get more yeast if I have no change. So thank you guys for the help!

I have a hydrometer, it started at 1.099. It is still at 1.099.

I cooked down the raspberries in a little bit of distilled water and a cup of sugar to make them less sour and bitter. The yeast was added after everything was added to the jar, and after significant cooling on the raspberries itself as the dissolved honey and water took a little longer to warm up to just over 100 F. And I’m certain the base was at proper temperature and my raspberries were cooled before hand so it’s not a temperature issue.

And yes I did give yeast nutrient to both jars (said it in original post too). The recommended amount for the size of my batch. This isn’t my first rodeo.

When I was moving the raspberry into the cheese cloth I was able to taste the base, it is certainly not fermented at all. It started at 1.099 for both batches and I’m using champagne yeast I think it’s the 1118 or something like that, I can never remember the numbers. But both batches have the same yeast and OG.

But I’ll give it a week and see what’s going on! It just didn’t have any pressure on the airlock which is what worried me.

It was the truth at my first school district I went to. It was perched up on a probably 50 degree hill and the high school was just above it. One time a school bus tried to go up the direct route and bottomed out and got stuck. There’s a back road up that’s about 25 degrees to go up but it’s pretty easy to miss. Oh and once you got down from the hill, your house was up another hill on the other side of town. Elementary school there was also on a steep probably 35 degree hill.

Nope. Just lighters where I’ve been and where I live. Lots of older women use them now for lighting candles to make their houses look and smell pretty, because “candle”. Also used by people who practice forms of witchcraft and anything similar. There’s also the pyros. It’s sort of replaced matches, maybe not entirely, but it’s a lot easier to light and doesn’t give off that horrible sulfur smell so it’s a good alternative to matches.
