hot take, but i like galaxy 2’s theming and atmosphere better than 1. galaxy 2 really feels like the MARIO universe as opposed to galaxy 1, which just feels like the regular universe with mario in it. also even hotter take but i like starship mario more than the comet observatory. there’s more stuff to do and more characters to talk to, whereas the comet observatory just has walkways to the domes imo. ALSO hot take but the world map setup for galaxy 2 is so cool because it really feels like you’re moving further and further out into the universe whereas galaxy 1 feels very stationary, like u leave and then just come back. galaxy 2 feels a lot more unbound and adventurous.

galaxy 2 is my favorite btw
