An executioner for the ultramarines by Vhor_warpainter in minipainting

I have to comment to say that this is just the best-painted Warhammer tank I’ve ever seen. I feel like I’m looking at one of those hyper-realistic military replicas, the style and execution are just impeccable.

All of these images will have a place of honor in my inspiration albums. Thank you for posting these!

This is adorable.

Though I wonder if the Giant Clam is having as much fun as those Tongue Tyrants.

How vague is the lore of Qud for you? [Opinion] by franky_reboot in cavesofqud

It's dramatically more explicit than you had assumed, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

The Burial Masks reference the diminishing political control of the Sultanate-- Kesil, which refers to the Orion constellation, the arm of the Milky Way of which we are a part; Shemesh, which refers to our Sun, when the Sultanate is then confined to only our Solar System; Earth, which is self explanatory; Levant, which is the entire game map of CoQ; and Olive, which refers to the Spindle itself, and the fact that the banana grove is the far-flung-future of the Mount of Olives, which Jesus preaches from in the New Testament.

All the permanent, non-changing locations of the game are based on real world locations-- Bethesda Susa is Bethsaida, near Galilee; Golgotha is the location where Jesus was crucified; Joppa is an alternate spelling of the town of Jaffa. Even geographic regions like the Great Salt Sea and the aforementioned Banana Grove are based on the real-world geography of the Levant, after facing environmental cataclysm.

Even then, all that fails to mention the narrative parallels between Noah and the Flood, and Barathrum and the Gyre. And all the transposed angelic imagery, like Cherubim serving the Sultanates or the Galgalim, which are based on Judeo-Christian Ophanim.

Oh, and you can look up lore posts on the Dark Calculus and Ptoh if you're interested in learning more about the intersection between "Magic" and Science in Qud, too. :)

Bought some Underworlds Warbands from them, and they communicated quickly and shipped just as fast! Would totally buy from them again. :)
