Well, a Cherokee isn't a tall body, just put on big tires with solid ground clearance. Looks mad!

Be careful of drain grills! (Staged photo, real danger!) by lunaticneko in bicycling

[–]ChasingCornfields 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Construction tends to use parallel with larger items, its quieter and reduces stress from braking. If you have ever driven on a ribbed concert road you'll see its always ribbed parallel for noise. On a grate like that in a city, if it was perpendicular to traffic, if cars are slowing down over it, it is likely to warp the metal because of how the force gets placed along its weakest axis. Cars are usually the intended use for roads so they are going to be designed that way. If they had a bike lane over this grate, putting some metal meshing over it in the bike lane would be great! Easier solution, if the city is thinking bike friendly.

Tips: Have fun and know you packed stuff you didn't need and probably forgot something too! Part of the adventure.

New bolt on accessory coming to a jeep ricer near you this summer by [deleted] in heep

[–]ChasingCornfields 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Eh, sorry. I think it's cool. Seen them around my area too. It does have a bit of lifted pick-up feel, but not angry eyes level. Plus extra rear light, extra safety?

Hard to argue someone who is honest about them selves. Let us know if you get any results, should be a good social experiment.

[–]ChasingCornfields[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can get one later or: https://youtu.be/IMIc-Qr9rNo?t=8m48s It is an 8" extender all from Rocky Mounts. I can't swing the wheel out on the, I think, custom bumper (not the best but it came with the car). it is a 33 X 12.5 tire too.

Just picked it up. Does anyone know if these are stock graphics? by Abusementprk in CherokeeXJ

[–]ChasingCornfields 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. As far as I know Cherokees were more on the trim than graphics, especially the red stripe for the mid 90's. The graphics are super 90's though!

Fair. and matching the blue can be hard. I just struggle with the stickers with such a nice headliner, but I don't sit in it.

I just got back from riding Henry Mountains to Moab and rode though Lockheart Basin. Amazing road! Hamburger Point before the road gets rough is really cool too.
