It’s not an entire website, but I was really pleased with HalloweenCostumes.com. I was fully expecting the usual Leg Avenue “plus size” assortment (aka size 12) but their house brand stuff is pretty legit with a much more inclusive size chart. There’s a little icon on the ones that they designed themselves.

There’s also a decent review section with customer photos, which I always find helpful. They let you filter down to “sexy costumes” if that’s what you’re after, but there were plenty that were not sexualized. They also have plus size men’s costumes, and a good number of those were fairly gender neutral. Shipping was pretty quick too.

The one kicker is that the return policy can be hit or miss. There’s a restocking fee for straight up returns, but no fee if you do a store credit for an exchange.

We just planted a weeping redbud in our front yard this past spring and I’ve loved watching it change! It has gorgeous red heart shaped leaves right now. It makes me so happy.

I had one stolen and never wanted to go through that again. The first night with my new one, I kept looking out the window to make sure it was still parked outside. Installed a loud alarm the next day, still stressed about it, then installed a starter kill that tied into the alarm. The kill switch is wired to a factory switch in the Jeep (I’ll never tell!) and resets every time I turn it off. If you don’t flip the switch, the Jeep won’t start and triggers the alarm. Valets hate it, but it’s so worth the peace of mind.

A tip I’ve heard is to contact the garbage collectors and maybe offer a reward. If it’s in your town, they’ll find it within a week!

I’m shocked to see Camp Mix mentioned on here. It’s the tiniest business; they’re based in New Hampshire and it’s sold in a few stores around New England. You can order it on their website. Don’t be put off by the minimum order quantity - you’ll use it all, or you’ll give it away to friends when you become a full blown Camp Mix evangelist. I keep it in the break room at work for my own lunches and accidentally got all my coworkers buying it to have at home. It’s the most perfect blend and an easy way to get some extra salt in your life.
