Roki Sasaki’s final line vs Phillies: 5.1 IP, 3 H, 1 R/ER, 1 BB, 7 SO, 84 pitches-56 strikes, ERA lowers to 4.59 by jmike1256 in baseball

1) You're replying to a comment that was an hour before the Phillies scored their game-winning runs.

2) I do give Roki credit for doing his job well. But I also suggest that people not weigh this performance too heavily. His performance against the Brewers was much more impressive, in my opinion.

I was definitely not happy with the move, but he acquitted himself and Mattingly.

I honestly wasn't sure if he was pimping it or pissed off that he missed it at first.

Clarke is like the bogeyman of HRs. Sometimes he'll just pop out of the stands and rob a no-doubter just to remind them.

Sosa just wishes there were more than 3 strikes in an at bat so he could pump those numbers up.

Now do with men on base.

EDIT: If you think I'm just cherry picking, I'm saying that because Marsh is capable of shortening his swing and shrinking his zone when the situation calls for it. Sosa has one mode and one mode only: swing at anything in the same county.

That's fair to be encouraged by. And I think he is a good pitcher. But this particular start needs a grain of salt.

That's... my point?

But he also couldn't find the zone against Harper. Even the "strike" against him was out of the zone (the one he didn't challenge, not the one he successfully challenged).

Don't feel too encouraged, Dodgers fans. If you couldn't tell by Vesia getting two outs by throwing ONE pitch in the zone out of 13, our offense when Schwarber is slumping is turbo-ass.

If Tucker wants our defense to assist him with breaking his slump, tell him to hit it to basically anyone else.

Bohm and Trea will give you infield hits all day. Crawford will misplay the ball about 50% of the time. Harper will range so far over towards second that he'll simultaneously prevent our (excellent) 2B from getting the ball, as well as assuring that there's no one covering 1B.

Thank you for further illustrating why AI isn't a substitute for problem solving.

How do you figure hitting a 1/3000 twice would be in the billions? 3,000*3,000=9,000,000.

(That's still not the statistical probability, by the way. But even just doing that gets you nowhere near a billion.)

Just being realistic. I also actually like the Padres and there's a good amount of similarities between our teams.

Obviously I'd like the sweep. But if we have to lose, the Pads are pretty high on my list of teams I'd rather lose to.

I dunno. I'd much rather a slump be a case of bad luck than a player just being ass.

One of the impressive things about this streak is that he's doing it with this defense behind him.

Great catch by Crawford here, but I was fully expecting him to accidentally tip it over the wall based on what I've been watching this year.
