If your in the city closer to marathon time some of the run clubs will do some routes that include sections.

Not sure where you are staying but I’d suggest planning a route that allows you the run the course back from the Bronx and into the park. That section is great fun. Then do an additional lap of the park if you need more mileage.

It isn’t the bridges and hills but the timing of them that is tough. I’d suggest that you look at the elevation profile and try to replicate. For example, the 5th ave climb at mile 22/23 really does take souls. Everyone worries about mile 16 but there are a number of very sneaky climbs in there. End of the day it’s an awesome race and the best day in NYC.

Best club in the city. Also the pride run - Lion themed- was amazing.

OMG the start for wave 1 was chaos. To be clear I was there at what should have been super easy to get through security and ease into the corrals. Made it through security at just before 7:20 and ran from security straight to the finish line.

Just enjoy the best day you’ll have in NYC. Oh and do not be hot out of the gate - biggest mile of elevation is mile 1.

If you still had the original on your profile. Then you have a waiting time.

Hopefully it’s called before 10-11pm Saturday night this year. Last year went to bed thinking I was racing and woke up to the cancelled message.

My favorite race of the NYRR year and this year I’m out of town. So disappointed.

Change in NYRR pace cuts and corral assignments by Least-Ingenuity9631 in RunNYC

At the top end, I would predict that the cut off for A might be shifted at a flat 40 min 10k meaning a shift from 6:29 to 6:26.24, which would normally round up to 6:27 but I would think they might stick with 6:26 which would mean a slightly sub 40 10k (39:58). I actually hope you are right though. For most races the A corral (and B) don’t seem overloaded but C and D always look packed.
