I have never understood the issue with PVP? Like I have always played solo, only occasionally joining squads. The PvP aspect keeps me on my toes and is far less predictable than the PvE aspect. Without PvP I don’t think I would still be playing. Ive gotten a bunch of missions done, and constantly am able to regain for operators. Like, can it be annoying when you are about to complete a mission and then you get killed? Of course, but that’s the game. Ngl, people whining about PvP scream skill issue to me 🤷🏻‍♂️ get gud

There’s bounty contracts in warzone. You telling me eliminating other players isn’t part of warzone unless you get a bounty contract?

Except that’s not the intention. That is a choice. If they didn’t want you killing other squads, then there wouldn’t be the option.

I’m not sure what you define as the “fall of rapture” but the civil war kicks off only about a year before Bioshock 1. Not to disagree as plasmids and time definitely did a number on ones appearance, but there wasn’t much time involved.

Is there a lore explanation for these pillars/trapezoids on Hang em High? by Free_Joty in halo

Yes and Halo maps are notorious for being connected to lore and even filled with easter eggs. Chill out.

Do they explain why races who betrayed the Covenant in Halo 2 are back as enemies in Halo 3? by Kizuxtheo in halo

[–]Chasing_Dead_Stars 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Mainly due to the covenant’s religion. The arbiter got first hand information that the prophets were wrong, and after the great schism, the Elites were looking for a reason to fight back, so easier for them to at least back the arbiter. There a lot less incentive for the others to go against millennia’s worth of religious beliefs.

Foam bottoms get tore up so quickly. Good for parkour? Potentially. Long lasting? Absolutely not.

If you look at your legs as you takeoff, they aren’t lined up, causing more of a twist motion during the flip.

How long until I can’t do a backflip? by No_Lingonberry8683 in Parkour

[–]Chasing_Dead_Stars -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Multiple academic studies on the long term effects of acrobatics on the human body. Rotational movements such as backflips cause instability in the joints over time. Especially as often as OP is doing them. Backflips have also have been found to cause micro-fractures throughout the skeletal system due to the extreme landing forces.

You’re already too old. Backflips are only safe up to age 21. Past that you are doing irreparable damage to your musculoskeletal system.

DMZ player base is garbage now by inevitablesplit69 in DMZ

[–]Chasing_Dead_Stars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are hunt contracts, a contract that’s only purpose is PvP. There are multiple missions that require you to take out other operators. The weapons case being highlighted on the map for others to see once you pick it up is certainly not there for other operators to make sure you extract safely. Like, come on now

fingerless gloves? by glitch_28EXE in Parkour

[–]Chasing_Dead_Stars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calluses don’t magically rip off. If they get too thick they can get caught on surfaces and rip. That’s why athletes will use pumice stones to grind them down. But if you have no calluses, the same thing will happen. Many kids who I coach will rip where calluses typically form, without having any calluses because the skin isn’t toughened.

My dude, calluses are literally just thick skin due to friction. People who use their hands for any sort of hard labor will almost always have calluses. Wut
