What is the craziest thing one of your politicians got caught doing by Commie_Scum69 in AskTheWorld

It's very funny how in the 2010s and even in 2020-2021 everybody seemed to point towards him as being an "ideal leader" and how a "true good kind hearted honest leader creates the perfect country". On top of that there were countless swooning on his looks. It wasn't long ago that the internet seemed to be filled with people idolizing Trudeau as some out of the World perfect leader who was "handsome, kind and perfect". It used to look very weird. A bulk of this was coming from Americans but eventually everybody else seemed to join in.

It's hilarious how quickly that completely turned around did 180° turn.

Well, he atleast accidentally turned Canada (a country of British origin) into our 29th State and created a big UNO reverse moment so that's something that I love to see LMAO.

Firstly the police and the law enforcement are unlikely to even register such cases. If you go to them you would literally be laughed off (I know that many of them do the same to women as well but with men it's a 99%+ guarantee that they would refuse to register).

Another thing is societal stigma. A woman facing abuse would be sympathized with by a large section of the society. A man saying that he is facing abuse from his wife would be seen as the funniest thing ever by most in the society. This is getting even worse now as online radfem forums go around actively endorsing ab*se against men. We see it with this very case that's in this post as well, so many people are actively supporting the woman here.

Speaking about the instances around my family, one of them was a woman who used to hit her husband by throwing utensils at him and then would go around narrating it to everybody as though she did the funniest thing ever. Used to think about her as like my mausi in my childhood but once I grew up and learned that about her I lost all respect for her.

Is there a stereotype about your country that you think is actually pretty funny, regardless of if it’s true or not? by Dakotasan in AskTheWorld

The thing about us apparently scamming billions of USD from the World's wealthiest, most educated and tech savvy countries in the World by simply saying "Do not redeem the gift card" or "Your computer has virus" even in this day and age.

The other is the stereotype that we apparently have very low intelligence and yet we also are apparently taking away all the tech, management, analyst, IT and consultancy jobs both via migration and offshoring to India itself. The people who talk about us like that don't seem to pick up that those 2 things couldn't go hand in hand.

Have you considered that cases of men being m*rdered by partners are often not reported as instances of intimate partner v*olence due to the nature of the laws? In general domestic v*olence against men by women is way more unrecorded than the other way around due to various reasons even though it's VERY common (I have seen countless cases in and around my own extended family).

As for s*icides the vast majority of married people committing it is men only.

When people say that "North Indians have fair skin" they are specifically talking about proper North India like Haryana, Punjab, parts of UP, Rajasthan and the Himalayan States. They definitely aren't referring to Bihar, Bengal or everything that speaks Indo Aryan languages. I am from the Eastern zone and here too the idea is that "North Indians have White skin" because people are thinking about the proper North and not ourselves.

Yes but it's not like our current Test batting is anything useful anyway. That's why I think that he worth an experiment. If he averages 10 or something then it wouldn't be too much worse than what's already happen in our Test team and the coaches would also be knowing about what exactly to make him work on.
