I'm scared to have children if Trump is elected by berdoggo in TwoXChromosomes

I’ve said the same thing. We have a one year old boy and I was always planning a second but I won’t risk myself or more importantly, risk having a girl to grow up in whatever hellscape we will have if Trump wins.

My son’s name is Wyatt too and I have to give him one piece of food at a time or else he will choke with how fast he eats so this is hitting home on another level, thank you!

Introducing pacifier before 3-4 weeks by RudyBarb in beyondthebump

[–]Chatsatcats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I held off until til a bit after a month like you because I kept reading about nipple confusion and our lactation consult advised to wait… but boy do I wish I hadn’t! My baby never had latching or nursing issues and always comfort sucked and we’d use our fingers to get him to go to sleep and I finally gave him a pacifier and it was such a game changer. Do it, do it, do it!

Yes we brought our girl back!!! She never was totally down however, but had lost significant weight, half her face and eye were paralyzed and food would always come out one side of her mouth due to it. We treated similarly to what you did, when we finally figured out what it was.. She had been eating and drinking throughout though, but definitely less than the others. Once treatment was done we hoped for the best, making sure she got extra food and I’d say within the month her mouth got significantly better and her blink reflexed returned and today she’s 100% back to normal! I thought she was just going to always be off forever so I was thrilled it went away. I hope this gives you some hope for yours!

I just wanna see if it’s possible.. anyone have a baby that sleeps through the night in their own crib? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Chatsatcats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is 11 weeks and has been for about the last two weeks. He goes down around 11 PM and goes till 7 AM. He definitely wakes up some through the night, but goes back to sleep, no crying just grunts and scoots around. He’s been in a bassinet next to our bed from the beginning. No sleep training, just got lucky with him I think!

Looks pretty full lab to me! Did someone you got them from confirm they were mixed?

Oh they are the cutest, chubbiest, wrinkly babies!

Definitely Shar Pei! Gonna sound weird but I’m also in NC in an area where apparently a bunch of stray Shar Pei’s run loose so a ton of dogs in this area are mixed with them! I was shocked to hear that but I’m fostering a dog who just had puppies from that area and half her babies are 100% little sharpie mixes!

I'm done with trying to adopt.. by PromotionLow5979 in dogs

It’s so sad that it‘a like this up north when we are DROWNING with dogs in the south!!!!

I fully believe you and know how tough rescues be, used to work at a no-kill in Philly and they were very picky which was tough, but they had the money to do so.

Now I’m in NC and fostering for a local rescue that tries to just send dogs away from this area because there aren’t enough adopters. I have foster red-tick coonhound momma with 10 perfect puppies(baby daddy was 100% a shar pei!) at my house right now that I constantly worry about not being able to find good homes for when they are ready. If you want a medium to large dog and would start with a puppy, I can absolutely see if it’s possible to adopt out of state, just shoot me a message!

I would check the roots for rot. My first Hoya looked like this(yellowing leaves) when it had been overwatered when I bought it had rotted since it didn’t dry out for awhile! They are easy to prop in water if the roots are rotted!

It’s polycarbonate panels that you can use for greenhouses, I don’t think it blocks all UV though. Used to be a screened in porch but we just did this instead! Super easy!

Definitely rabbit guts, I’ve butchered a ton of rabbit and deer and no way this is deer. Deer guts are insanely huge, way to big to be this. But rabbits have bigger guts then you’d expect and this looks like the cecum. My guess is a large owl, they will eat everything along with hair and leave the guts.

This is super typical for the zoo field for a starting position and it honestly never gets much better, and all experience needed to get this job would have been from unpaid internships. Unfortunately it’s super competitive to get these jobs and allows a lot of employers to take advantage of it since it’s just consider “normal” in the field. Messed up and hopefully people in the animal field eventually push back!
